I really wish this comes back. I know with the today's update everyone has access to ava, so they don't need to be ranked admins but with that being said, many will look at it as a demotion. And hey some of these people will fuss and throw a tantrum. Most will accept it, but there are some younger folks out there who will not take it well. Will keep my fingers crossed that perhaps this can be looked into again someday.

Congratulations on the clan update with various administrative and quality of life features, that went live recently. I appreciate the efforts made and Mod Shauny's conviction to provide support to clans by developing clan improvements by himself; it definitely raises the bar. Mod Shauny is surely a good news for clans after a very very long time.

4 Years later, I re-iterate the suggestion I made before on pages 18-19 in this thread. So far, all of the updates have been on administrative level, citadel based with exclusive consideration for skillers. While many of these may be necessary or considerably improve quality of life for clans, not all clans are skill based or function as a CC full of solo players looking for a chat. Competitive clans have been excluded and ignored for years, which has lead to the extinction of a large part of the clanning community that inhabited Runescape and CLF for more than a decade. This issue needs to be addressed, one step at a time.

Competitive clans need clan vs clan or team play goals; content and tools to facilitate competition in modern Runescape. It is crucial that Jagex forms a comprehensive vision about the in-game support features for the future of different type of clans in Runescape as a whole.

Jagex needs to plan ahead while laying the groundwork for the future to accommodate the needs of competitive PvM, PvP and skill based clans, instead of rushing into developing hard-coded content based on only the current state of clan world.

In short, when designing clan permissions, Jagex needs to pay close attention to make the permissions system flexible enough to accommodate relevant mini-game permissions required for mini game integration, to ensure future updates capable of addressing the needs of competitive clans in Runescape, whenever that is. »
