As discussed elsewhere in the CLF, mostly in the new Clan Plan, the permissions rewrite project grew massively in scope and was not achievable. Instead we will attempt to take small projects out of it, develop it in small manageable chunks.

I won't lie about it, but I'm a bit disappointed we won't get the entire rework: completely understand it's a huge task to do, but I thought it looked pretty decent and well thought out from the first page.

I will welcome any elements of the rework though: especially looking forward to this Mute option if possible.

This is actually really sad to see

Not to beat the broken nail into the coffin, but seeing as this is no longer happening, would it be at all possible to lower the avatar requirement itself to a lower rank. I know alot of us want to be able to give out avatar w/o having to give out admin .
I am BatwingRobes, and BatwingRobez is me. BWRs is also me though ;)

Currently the engine only supports admin+ being able to write to clan data.

Therefore an avatar warden must be admin+ as it needs to store it's data somewhere on the clan.

With this restriction in place, it doesn't matter how much code I produce, I can't remove that caveat.

Changing to a checkbox rather than a rank may well be a possibility in the future (though I can't guarantee that as I haven't looked at that code for a while).

Sad to see that this project is no longer in development, it was a big task indeed but it would've fixed about everything. Curious if we ever get to rank people admin without them having the ability to kick or even customise some permissions now :/

Glad that we still get small fixes, but with clans being a big part of the game nowadays I do think that you guys should be given more time to work on updates/improvements for it..

We all know that the queen of squirrels is good at developing (and breaking things :P ). Too bad that she doesn't get to work more on clans.
