Then there should be a permissions for who can see the worlds then. Only clan leader or if other leaders need to be included the leader can add them to the permissions but for random new recruits to be able to see the world of any other clan member is ridiculous.

Give me a reason as to how it's ridiculous that doesn't relate to warbands, and maybe I could understand.

OR give people to option to either make it visible or not like the adventures log. its a privacy matter generally.
Not really, as I said before, if you're so concerned about who can see if you're online, why should you even be in a clan in the first place? (previous sentence is a general statement and isn't aimed at any particular individual)

can you really say that about your adventure log ?
why would there be a private option on the adventures log? cause he wants his privacy in what he gains in runescape? ok
can you really say why be in a clan in a first place?
cause then i can just say if there wasnt a private option on the adventures log : why make a runescape account in the first place?
you cant really say why be in a clan in a first place. there is just some privacy issues that needs to be sorted. again. just like how we can toggle privacy on our adventure logg. this should be required to. for people that need it or dont.

We're not talking about adv logs, we're talking about clans. If you're not in a clan, you can turn pm off, hide adv log, do whatever, if you're in a clan then expect people to be interested in what you're doing at any random moment. I still can't see a valid reason for turning it off, warbands isn't a valid reason, neither is paranoia. Owner of

While I do think this is a bit off track, I'll still add my two cents:
The adventurer's log has a lot of things that are private: your activity log (especially drops), the number of quests you've done, and even your full body photo are things that are strictly private and should only be shared with your consent.

The online activity button is there if you don't want to talk to people you don't know (set it to friends only) or if you don't want to talk in pm at all (set it to off). This prevents worrying about missed pms as there'll be nothing to miss.

In terms of being seen in a certain world. This is not private information. The moment you log into a server, that information is public information. If you log into w2 ge, everyone in w2 is able to access the information that you are currently in that world. You can not take up resources in that world, kill people, or make other changes in that world that impact others while at the same time claiming your presence there is private.

I'm not objecting to the viability of this proposal. I'm objecting to this proposal being under the banner of "privacy" when I believe that it isn't applicable.

Edit to add: if something like this should be done, it should be done with a practical reason that makes it deserving of the time and resources spent without a sense of privacy being at its core.

So Jagex should treat players who do Warbands with neglect when it comes to their requests for updates in the game? You're acting like our requests are lesser than yours when there are thousands of players who do Warbands daily and we do have a community that needs to be recognized and listened to when it comes to content that affects us. This is not off topic, we are talking about permissions related to turning off the capability to see worlds through the homepage without being added by the person at the least. I don't know why you all have come on here replying in such ways when I was speaking to Mod Maz who is hosting this thread as a request. I didn't ask for your remarks or opinion because it clearly is just to trash talk my opinion.

As a clan that has one particular focus (Warbands) you choose to limit yourselves much in a way skillers choose to. Does every skiller riot whenever there's an update they can't participate in? No. If you choose to restrict your clan, then it's an issue you as a clan must deal with, not Jagex.

As for not wanting our feedback, then why'd you post here for everyone to see when you could have asked to speak with her in-game? Honestly, between doing that and starting arguments here, it looks like you're just trying to attract attention to yourself.
