As everyone has mentioned this before due to the fact that it is completely invading clan members privacy.

will Jagex staff ever look into :
when clan members log into the site and look up their clan, view their worlds and that they are online even with the fact that they have their privacy off and left clan chat?

will this privacy issue ever be changed? for players to have their complete privacy?
like a toggle option to keep their privacy in the RuneScape website clan page overview on other players?

because it is effecting the community in a lot of ways and players that participate in PvP events use a clan, as a way to leak out worlds. not in the rightful purpose in joining a new clan community. i just feel as if its best for one another to remain civil and maintain their privacy in-game. just like the adventures log, and the new examine.
please if any jagex mod is reading this, it would be very much appreciated if i got a response back to clear this.

^ Support this. Tons of PKing / Warbands FCs use clan leaks on people. It makes people turn on each other in clan to figure out who it is, you end up having to kick tons of people from the clan to catch just one leak. It tears apart clans all over someones obsession over another group. It is absolutely ridiculous that this wasn't fixed over a year ago when their was a forum with hundreds of supports and vouches on it to fix this.

^If I'm right, I recall Matthe saying it's not gonna happen. Warbands fc's and clans are 2 separate things, if you're having problems in your clan due to a warbands fc, it's an fc problem, not a clan problem. Clans and friends chats are two different things so this is an unwarranted request. Owner of

It's a clan problem because you have no privacy in your clan, they can see your worlds whether you're not added by them, whether you have your pm off, or if you have left clan chat. None of it matters. How is that not an invasion of privacy? They put privacy settings for everything us but not that? Honestly you sound like someone who has something to gain from this leaking situation which is why it doesn't bug you.

but are you not aware that people abuse this? people don't abuse the adventures log and the examine log and there is a privacy toggle. but they abuse this.. this should be an issue. if they can toggle private on, on the adventures log and the new examine. for privacy matters. they should be able to work on this.

this is more of an issue then both of those. and should be payed more attention to.
if Jagex wish to give people their privacy. the clan privacy is the first place to work on. it has been going on. we did not ask for privacy in the examine and in the adventures log. but we ask for the clans issue. its a much bigger issues. and i speak on behalf of a lot of people that do not have access in this forum thread.

despite warbands. if people want to play with private off and clan chat left. then they need their privacy generally during the game play.

with all do respect to all the jagex moderators. this needs to be looked into and worked on.

I have everything to gain, I can see what world clan-members when their clan chat is off. That's what it's there for. Used to be good for finding bots, but it's also good when a clan member gets upset, to find them by going to said world it shows, and trying to sort things out before it gets worse.


If you want to be so private, why be in a clan in the first place? You'd be better off not being in a clan if you're so paranoid about who can see you're online. It's an online game, there's more important things in life. Owner of

Can you give me a (realistic) instance apart from warbands where this can be 'abused'? Me, as a clan leader, needs to see what clan-members are online, and in which world, regardless of how private they want to be. Owner of

OR give people to option to either make it visible or not like the adventures log. its a privacy matter generally.
