Currently promoting someone to Admin + Avatar Warden means, this player needs to take care for homeworld being covered in first order, to share boost to us all and team with other wardens if they need to hop around. Their attitude needs to be adminworthy.
Avatar warden job curently is the extra motivation to be a great person, not only the skiller with high xp. It made me build the clan and P v M teams worth the effort, that people rather want to stay, improve, get rank up.
When someone asks about it I said:
noblesse oblige
and if needed I'll explain:
nobility obligates
. It denotes the concept that nobility extends beyond mere entitlements and requires the person who holds such a status to fulfill social responsibilities. For example, a primary obligation of a nobleman could include generosity towards those around him.
In ethical discussion, it is sometimes used to summarize a moral economy wherein privilege must be balanced by duty towards those who lack such privilege or who cannot perform such duty. Finally, it has been used recently primarily to refer to public responsibilities of the rich, famous and powerful, notably to provide good examples of behaviour or to exceed minimal standards of decency.
So whoever wanted to be an avatar warden, they had to be great in the clan where standards are high. It was good, motivating.
Over the years I remember few players who got downranked and became unable to summon avatar after that. One of them is avatar warden again, one of them awaits for uprank and gets it soon.
So if avatar bonus gets totally separated from ranking, I'm losing one of my tools but we'll see how it goes. I bet I can still motivate people to bring their best manners.
It would affect the clans where leaders easily downrank instead of trying out the diplomacy. I guess our clan culture should be strong enough to adapt the update but what about the clans where leaders highly rely on control over xp.
