Since the only team besides the mtx team taht does small updates, ninja, is massive busy - I don't see a major issue. Dont get me wrong, i love free stuff, prefer it to paid (especially since I dont do mtx transactions) but the likelihood of ninja doing lots of clan work is zilch by jagex terms (and looks to right).

Mtx team won't do big clan update, to big and complicated. Can't feasible set up a pay schrme for permission rewrite for example, so wouldn't.

Small bonuses to clans don't really seem like they'd hurt....long as its reasonable. 5m for 1hr is a waste, but the object does nothing to hurt clans. Similar items seem just as unlikely to hurt clans if done reasonable, even mtx.

No, no. You're welcome to disagree with the update, and your free to run your clan however you want. However, creating the kind of clan community which kicks others just because they want to play in a certain way (spend less time grinding in the citadel, by buying the booster) isn't healthy for our clan community and doesn't really motivate us to develop for clans.

So does that mean Jagex discourages "level 3 skiller" type clans, Pures-only clans, and clans that kick people that go F2P because they're a "P2P-only" clan? Your logic doesn't hold up.

You basically just told us that we're the issue if we dislike an update. If people dislike our clans for how we run things, then it's their choice to join or not. Obviously, clans and the way they're run are still highly popular, with the majority of players in clans, and deserve the attention that Jagex has been refusing to provide.

As I said in my first response about it potentially be a SGS item (before we knew for certain) I said I was disappointed that the citadel code is too complex to work on for people, but as soon as money is a possibility, through the purchase of bonds or runecoins, it's perfectly doable. What next? Upgrade your clan to be able to temp-mute clanmates for just 600 runecoins a week, lasting until next tick? MrBrokenBow - Former Leader and Founder of

I was thinking Tier 8-10 Citadels that include Dungeoneering, Fishing, and Divination resource plots ;)

Hope I don't give them any ideas...

Are you serious? You might not be motivated to develop for clans, when we've gotten two updates this year, one of which is controversial at best, and this new one which seems to border on unanimous disapproval across reddit and forums.

Sorry if the idea of Jagex's current lack of motivation for clan updates decreasing doesn't exactly phase most clan leaders.

Imagine not releasing any quests all year, then releasing one that you have to make a mtx in order to play, then saying you don't want to make any more because questers protest it.

The worst way to get us to invest more time in clans is by creating a toxic culture of kicking players based on the way they want to play.

You have got to be kidding me.....

So we either support something we're strongly against and have to pay extra for basic updates, or we express our feelings and are told no more updates?

Honest Question:
What would motivate Jagex to develop for clans?

Edit: I ask because I try to do the right thing. I run a large and very active clan, perhaps one of the most active clans in the game. We play by the rules and our clan is fair and honest about our business. I care about the future of my clan, and I care about the future of this game.

I want to know how to achieve the strongest future possible for clans and the game's overall community - as I strongly believe the health of clans and that of the overall game are intertwined.

So I am legitimately asking what we can do to motivate Jagex to develop for clans.
