I remember a thread where someone was asking if it was possible to lock a citadel for an X-amount of time...

As I just tested it out, I'm here to confirm that if you lock a citadel, people who don't have the permissions to get in there and try to get in the citadel, still get registered as a visitor.

Which also means, for those who don't know (though no doubt everyone knows) that the citadel tick begins, and so if upkeep isn't met (and it won't be if it's locked) you will degrade.. eventually. MrBrokenBow - Former Leader and Founder of

Solution: Have a clan that is large enough, active enough and vibrant enough to maintain your citadel.

Really, this is a clan management issue.

Wow, that's smart thinking. So brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? .... Honestly, your comment is unnecessary and disrespectful.

I locked the citadel because we are no longer active but I wanted to preserve the citadel for the day that I might resurrect the clan to it's former glory. Anyway, whatever is going on in my clan has nothing to do with this thread.

I expected more from a forum moderator, you out of all people here should have understood the essence of this thread. But since you don't, let me lay it out for you:

Preserve citadel - RuneScapes clan coding prevents me from doing so because it doesn't do what it should do - and possibly discuss further

Anyway, people here have asked here before what happens when you lock a citadel, well, this is the answer. You're welcome. Pleasure in the job, puts perfection in the work.

Fmods don't have to maintain the illusion of being helpful all the time in here

Sorry that you're losing your citadel. I wonder why the citadel even bothers to lock itself if you end up losing that tier anyway.

I don't mind losing the citadel now, since there's nothing I can do about it anymore. Though it would have been nice if the clan-system actually worked. Pleasure in the job, puts perfection in the work.

You could always get some new accounts, make them members with a bond and do the upkeep yourself until you can get fresh members?

Nah, it doesn't matter now. Besides, what you mentioned was discussed earlier and is not allowed.

Though it would be nice if Jagex could shine some light on this and perhaps we'll know A: if it's possible to fix and B: how long it would take. Pleasure in the job, puts perfection in the work.
