One of my clan founders left and rejoined clan list because of hack.
Right owner came back to clan right after Jagex allowed to log in.
The bank is lost, rares lost, clan xp lost as well. We posted to Jagex about hack right after this suspicious leaving. It was a sign that gave us warning. Account got locked many hours later, next day. How it took so long...
I'm going to post security suggestion:
When account security settings are changed: like password, bank, pin, e-mail, authenticator set or removed, account enters to Ironman Mode for next hours, the owner previously selected how long, 3-24 hours.
While this time acc should disconnect when tries to enter Wildy, Duel Arena, such a places or attempts to feed p hat to troll, drop items with value 500 k+ or valuable compared to total bank or total lvl. When dies at some other place and is getting grave, disconnects but the grave is saved till log in. If they risked with combat and died with valuable items, can't log in before sensitive time ends. Grave waits safe.
Accounts that are in Ironman Mode for security time also can't delete friends, can't leave clan.
Does it make sense?
Why would right owner who just changed acc acess info, put new password or mail suddenly clean the bank, trade or drop rares to unknown or freshly added people? Even if wants to trade rares and sell everything in bank or drop at wildy, die with gears - okay, their choice, ragequitting, intoxication or some drama, anyways unhealthy, can be regretted.
With clear mind I bet players would like to protect their accounts for accident and set the time what they think is protecting enough and not disturbing normal gaming.
Why hackers leave clan? Is it hate or fear clan can spot them, see them online and trail? Password, mail they change because right owner would log in immediately and ruin the plan, take control again.
In suspicious cases when 2 ppl try log in, known ip should be preferred but locking acc is reasoned too.
