Because its a shame to lose something because of a mistake, something that isnt part of the game (bossing and death is part of the intended gameplay and those consequences should remain) However losing something to being phished something thats not part of the intended gameplay is a real shame.

Now youve not exactly said why you dont agree.

And no there is no abuse from it

Well, I've stated, restated, and restated again my reasons for why I believe this would be an appropriate change. I respect your opinion on the matter and I mean no disrespect, but please look over my reasons on pages 1 and 2.

Support. If I'm not mistaken in my understanding of the clan system, this "7 day" counter would not start ticking from the moment they've passed a daily tick 7 times. As such this would also be great for people who were removed from a clan temporarily in their inactivity, and when they come back to the game, should they rejoin within 7 days they would retain their clan XP.

Even if that isn't the case, I still very much support the idea in general.

1 - Jagex sees many things we don't and have made an effort to stop abuse that was in game, listen to and absolve problems they have heard from players and have, throughout the many discussions on this and related topics, answered with logic and given as much information as they can.

2 - Mistakes are mistakes. There are always consequences for mistakes. There are consequences when someone takes over our accounts (irl - identity theft). We have to deal with them and move on. If they mistakenly leave the clan or their accounts are hacked, the clan should not benefit (continue going up in experience gains) because of that.

a) In the case of an account being hacked/phished/etc, the individual player has to gather their resources and begin making money/buying items/ etc. They still have their skill levels and can do this if they want to continue to play. So the experience in the clan should reset.

b) In the case of leaving the clan accidentally, there is a discussion going on now on ways to make it clearer that they are doing that, but there is a confirmation message asking if they want to leave the clan. If they chose to ignore that message or mistakenly click on it, then that is also in their court and they should have to pay the consequences for that. Perhaps they will be more aware next time.

Emphasis on changed at this point . This policy has been in affect for a very long time. What made you bring it up now instead of months before? Just because we've been dealing with problems surrounding the new cool down system doesn't mean that it was the cause of this thread. The cool down is irrelevant in this discussion.

As you said yourself, this has been brought up in the past, someone is just bringing it up again now.

Except the only reason Jagex doesnt give items cash back is because its hard to track the items or if they are telling the truth not because they think mistakes are mistakes tough luck.

Saying the same thing in 100 more words doesnt strengthen the argument.

"tough luck" "deal with it" still isnt a reason for this not to happen.
