SLRE has a valid point and I agree with him very much. He is totally right that most players don't even know what a citadel or an avatar is. When I livestream People ask me to see my citadel or they ask me what is that thing with the flag following me. Clans are not exposed to or rarely mentioned anymore on the home page which is making them a forgotten part to the rs community especially to the newer players. Every month it seems to be treasure hunter, Solomon store, some type of bonus xp, a combat update or a Quest.
My petition is underway and already has 5 pages of supports. People who watch me stream and explain to them about clans, citadels, communities, how important a rework is and the future of clans...... They end up following my channel to be a part of what my clan offers them in the game. Most say I wish there was more players like you in the game. I always say without clans what community is left? I doubt treasure hunter, solomon or combat updates will keep that community rolling into the future of rs. Clan updates should be voted upon the leaders who understand clans and also we should be allowed to present the ideas/feedback on what to vote on. Even if it was for a month I am sure we as clan leaders could make a diffrence in the future of clans starting with a rework of the coding to the clans and the citadels.
I would post the petition QFC here but the last time i did that in the forums a forum mod locked it and deleted it but you can find it under existing game content.

Meh, I give up.... SLRE has a very good point, Jagex goes by highest numbers across whole player base whereas some special groups cannot get the numbers. About to hit 5 yr vet here and have been a clan leader for all but 10 weeks of that time. Getting very weary of it and thinking of quitting the game.
Mod Maz was working on Clan Mute, which had entered QA but had a number of issues so needed further development to be done. She currently is working on something for OSRS but it is on her list when she is back with us - she was making great progress on it.
Sorry for being so negative before. It is a pretty thankless task to run a clan. A good clan keeps people playing and therefore gives revenue to Jagex. I am sure you all know I am stating the obvious here.
The one way to mute clan members that works ok is to set them to recruit then block recruits from being able to talk. This however has the effect of blocking guests too. Since the new clan cool-down period, there are more guests in cc than ever before.
This leads to an unfortunate combined effect, and a heck of an increase in work/stress for me and my leadership team. So, the point I am trying to make is that this is even more important now.
Why does it seem that osrs is getting more attention to what that community wants then RS3 is considering this is the main game? All I see now is osrs streamers, Jagez Q&A streams all the time, youtube videos, new bosses, new items, I hear clans are coming, Grand exchange... etc. I am a 9 year vet as a clan leader and I feel like it is a struggle to see any progress as a community leader in rs3 anymore as it is in osrs. Every month I see more vet players are leaving rs3 and joining osrs. That version of the game is giving the players what they want even though it never was suppose to be the intent. Some call it pre eoc but to me...... RS3 is still RuneScape and osrs is a fake. The time is now to make a diffrence and I am just like the lady above here..... Mabey it is time I pack it in as well. I am just not seeing the progress as a community anymore.

RS Main also has Q&A sessions - they are on tuesdays and there is a community stream later that same night from Jagex also.
RS Main also gets BTS videos and ptach note videos from Jagex.
As to streaming and player made videos they are not something in our control - they are player made after all and some of the most prominent streamers currently are OSRS streamers.
New content and improvements are constantly added to the Main game and efforts like RuneLabs were designed to let players directly suggest and approve content for addition to the game - without it things like the Aquarium would never have happened.
It is sad to see that OSRS has evolved to where it is now. It was implemented for those that wanted old school and it is slowly evolving to RS3.
From what I see they are pulling Mod Maz from here, where she was working on what few updates we could have gotten to work on OSRS. The fact that leaders new to the CLF ask for the same things we have over and over again, shows they tools that can help us.
We hear that not much can be done for citadels or clan updates due to resources required to make the changes and that the programming the way it is would take massive reworks. Yet a large update like clans is rumored to be done for OSRS.
As I have said before, the main player base has no clue what it takes to run a clan or the hours put in to try to establish things out of game to get tools we need to run clans better in RS3, and probably do not care as long as 'someone' is doing the work. So they will always vote for new monsters or quests.
DevCom1 is no longer a team, our Mods here are pulled in so many different directions now they have a hard time keeping on task here (not their fault, doing more with less resources is a business money saving process all over the world).
Individual Mute is in progress. White list is in limbo. Avatars and citadel updates (particularly the update on the flashing floor of the dance room in the keep that inhibits people with disabilities to use) seem to be in a 'can't be done' category, and wiki pages are no longer a tool we can use. Still we struggle to find ways to do what we need done. Are there any new updates on when any of these might be done?
I try to be positive in most of what I post, but I know with Clan Cup planning in full swing, once again our Mods will be pulled away for implementation of that. I apologize for the negativity, but reading what other clan leaders are saying in CLF, I am not the only one that feels that way.
