Personally i believe there is more important things to work on. But if i see its being backed i will also get my clan involved.


I am referring to clans and the citadels. not one or the other. In 2011 (the year of the clans, (pre eoc) this was all created. It is existing game content and out of date. Modern day game wouldn't release content like this in case you have not seen elf city. Same goes for the modern day quests compared to 2011 quests. A major difference. I personally would rather see older content re worked to todays game standards instead of smaller updates, more pets, overrides (way too many now) ETC.

This work is a big project and can be accomplished just as the elf city was. Runelabs will not consider this. It has been presented by players and went nowhere. I started the petition in existing game content and so far have 28 supports. In time as more people become aware of the thread that number will grow. Hopefully then it can be presented in player power polls. If and when it does then we can use the player power polls to determin what players actually want for clans and the citadels, just like we did for elf city.

The majority of the game is clans and as it stands now the content is not appealing to most players when outside of clans the content is far superior. If osrs 07 gets clans they will most likely be coded and designed far better then they were in 2011, making rs3 clans looking grim. Maybe the time is now to be looking into this before 07 beats us to it? I have already lost clan members to 07 because of the recent game updates. The updates are slowly making 07 pre eoc (2012) In a nut shell the existing game content in rs3 should be looked at more since that content is why most of us started playing RS.

So my thinking is we should take his advice and get organised and decide which of the ideas we discus here that we really want to see developed then submit them to runelabs and 'block vote' for them as a CLF.

If each of us as clan leaders can vote for our ideas and get our clan members to vote for them too we can get our ideas into the in game poll and if we can win that poll then Mod's Matthe and Maz will get more support and resources to develop our ideas...

For this reason I have started a new thread 'CLF RuneLabs Think Tank' Quick find code: 86-87-541-65594640

If we can compile our ideas here and organise ourselves then we can hopefully get our ideas into game.

I am really excited about all the upcoming updates, particularly the ability to mute individual clan members. I was also wondering if maybe in the new future an update could be added to a clan's homepage showing when a clan member joined their clan. Also, you mods are doing a great job!! Thanks for always listening to suggestions and trying to make the gaming experience more fun and functional for all.

Wow, these ideas look great.

For the competitions, would there be a matchmaking system or will it be similar to duel arena where two clans challenge each other?

The leave report and clan-chat mute, I can see being effective.
For mutes, is it going to be similar to ingame mutes where players are able to see the reason for the offence, or is it just revoking the permission to chat? Is there going to be an appeal button, or are players going to have to get in contact with the clan leaders?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but out of the entire runescape community, us clan leaders make up a very small percent. As cool as Player Polls and Runelabs are, its obvious to me that clan development at any level will always be the underdog naturally due to the small number of us in clan leadership that would really benefit from such developments. So wouldn't that place the clan community at a serious disadvantage to achieving development?

Also, when comes to gaining votes on clan systems, shouldn't this be reduced to clan leaders or even clan members only? I am astonished at the number of players in the game that couldn't even tell you what a citadel, or avatar is, no less come to a viable vote on clan content. So why would clan related content be based on game community voice and choice rather the clan community voice and choice?
