Now, let's talk more about Domina and Imperator...

We know these are titles of the Roman Empire. We also know the Zarosian Empire uses titles and ranks from the Roman Empire too, However, Zaros is not referred to the Dominator. So what's are their difference?

When it comes to the title Domina and Imperator, most people will think of the first of the few, and most iconic Domina in the Roman Empire, Livia. Together with the first Roman Empire Imperator Augusta Caesar, who rose to powers at the end of the Great Wars, the Pompey Caesarian Roman civil wars,

Rest assured, it didn't take long for the Augustus Roman Empire to spit into Eastern (or Byzantine) Roman Empire and Western Roman Empire, following the embracement of Christianity and later on came the Holy Roman Empire too.

Well, Perhaps Jagex has been inspired by the popularity of the TV series Domina, they are hinting on ancient Roman Empire events in the modern 2023 RS3 sagas with the shadow, dragonkin, Rasial, Guthix, and of course, your truly, the World Guardian, Time Guardian, and Duke of Fort Forinthry.

Ah, now we're getting into some fun etymology.

I really like your assertion that Domina (the television series) may have inspired Jagex's usage of the term in the quest and perhaps a new "structure" of what is normally a chaotic bunch of Zamorakian factions. It's recent British pop culture and RuneScape kills it with references to things like that.

Now, here's also some interesting Real-World connection between Jagex and the term "Domina"

Cambridge, England's most identifiable landmark is Cambridge University, one of the world's most acclaimed knowledge institutions. If you are affluent and successful enough to get into Cambridge and are awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree, you are actually given the title of Dominus/Domina depending on your gender.

That means that perhaps some of our Jagex Moderators themselves are esteemed enough to hold such a title, when considering the university's proximity to Jagex HQ.

---

As for effects this usage of Roman terminology may have on the story, the two of us have brainstormed the following.

> I've posited that it is based in Zarosian influence, which may be Moia attempting to begin an initiative to reign in the Zarosian Mahjarrat to her cause, when taking into consideration her quote regarding Mahjarrat life.

> You've suggested a Roman Imperialist style of events. (I'm going to understand this as Moia providing structure to the Zamorakian remnants, while also attacking in multiple areas, perhaps with the aim of starting her own empire.) I believe you may be on to something with Rasial, and the player is a cog in this because they have to be, not because of any titles they no longer hold or ones that have yet to exist (if they will.) I'm not so sure Guthix is coming back in any major way,

Note that the present time "Moia" is more than likely under the control of the prehistoric or may even be pre-First Age shadow, the titles Domina and Imperator came from First Age or pre-First Age events. Zaros only came to Gielinor at the 2nd Age.

Yes, the Zarosian Empire is related to the empire or kingdom of shadow, but it only makes sense when Zaros was inspired by the shadow, not the other way around, only that Zaros only wanted to be a ruler, or maybe dictator, but not a slaver. He might want his subjects to kneel to him like he is the supreme ruler, but he doesn't want to torture and discriminate them like they are slaves. That's why he didn't go for the short-lived Augustus era titles of slaveries.

Very soon the Zamoraian Mahjarrat will come to an end with the RSOF.

The Purple aura surronding the puppet Bilrach actually hinted purple is the color of Necromancy, and Zaros only learned from the shadow.

We'll see... but perhaps we can only discuss it further in the New Age of the RSOF, whatever it will be.
