What does this have to do with auras being refundable?
You're right that it's irrelevant to the issue of incorrectly described and mis-sold Loyalty Point items being refunded.
How so? SGS started out with a LP only shop but very soon they added Runecoins and since then many items have been changed from LP only to either Runecoins only or a mix. That was over 7 years ago.
First you completely misunderstand the purpose of LP, and Auras aren't the only "mis-sold" LP items, this has been how Jagex been doing with SGS, LP and Runecoins all along these 7+ years.

Yes, some items changed currency and at the time of the last adjustment the precedent was re-set that Loyalty Point items were exclusive to Loyalty Points and RuneCoin items were exclusive to RuneCoins.
I believe that any instance of mis-selling where an item was advertised as being exclusive to Loyalty Points should have the option of removal and refund should the innocent buyer wish.
