So... any ideas? I personally have some...

New Room - Lavatory:

The toilet one isn't that serious, but it would make for good immersion.

Sink w/ Mirror: Basically, a combination of the sink from the kitchen, and the shaving stand. Also, there will be a "Brush-teeth" option, and your player will do an emote where they're brushing teeth.

Bathtub (Requires "As a first Resort...&quot ;) : In a nutshell, you can build a bathtub, where you can fill it with a bath water from the Oo'glog of your choice.

Give Beds a purpose:

Beds will now have a "Sleep" option, where sleeping in one will cut to a cut scene with that says "Do not disturb". After resting, the player's hitpoints, lowered stats, and run energy will be restored.

New Room - Lavatory:

Basically, it's going to be a restroom in your PoH. You'll have things like a simple toilet, a sink/with mirror, stuff you'll find in a normal house restroom. Some furniture will include...

Toilet: Let's face it, all these adventures leave us wondering
"how do we relieve ourselves?" Well, the future is now. On each toilet, there will be the option "relieve" and the screen will cut to "One moment please" and there will be a chat box saying "You feel better, and ready to adventure."

I like these options.

But I think the 2nd coming of Jesus will come first. RuneScape updates seems to be centred fully on fighting.

Construction is not getting a look in. May be because RuneScape is too big now, and players have no time for the Construction skill.

What I would like to see is a chapel rehaul, the statues look outdated compared to corresponing NPC's, there is only the option of having a chapel dedicated to 3 gods (and Bob), why not all the gods? Adding god symbols for your family crest would be good as well. Maybe updating the look of the Rocnar? I also agree with Umbre with his ideas. Construction needs to be fixed before more content is added.

Keeping it all decors wont be attractive to all players

What if your house had more use in the game, like...

-Your PoH altar can boost your prayer above you level by a certain amount of percentage, similar to the monastery altar. Better your altar, the greater the amount it can boost

-Very high level altars can switch prayers between curses

-Further storage types besides capes and costumes, such as an weapon rack for rarely used weapons that sit in your bank, an armour closet, or an rune display case that can store all your runes, and show other players how many you have

-Your own Vis wax machine! Not any different from Gold Berg's, only works once a day. Your PoH maybe easier to go to though

-Farming patches. Like an Menagerie, have a limit of one room so one cant have like 5 rooms of herb patches. Other players cannot use them but they can see your own plants growth

-Scroll Decoder: An idea I had that would require having high knowledge based skills to build, including magic, crafting, summoning, and runecrafting

You may use an coordinate or compass clue scroll on it, and it will show a red box on the world map, indicating what region the clue scroll is referring to. The higher the level of decoder, the smaller the Red box, thus more accurate. Players find these 2 scrolls tedious as they can be anywhere

The effectiveness of these could scale up based on the construction level required to make it
of the elves

Whenever I've heard someone from Jagex answer a question about a construction rework (most recently Runefest 2014) they've begun by umming and ahhing and saying that construction is really broken.

For a developer to say that, I'm thinking they're talking about the coding. The skill came out a long time ago now and really hasn't been touched since. It could well be that the coding for this is buried so deep in the game, and has had so much stuff kind of piled on top of it, that to start messing with POHs now could break it even more and basically be more trouble than it's worth. (I'm not a programmer, btw, this is just a guess on my part based on what's happened in the past and what I've heard people say.)

If the above is true, I've changed my mind about asking for a rework of POHs - can you imagine the rage if they attempted to improve it and messed up people's houses in the process? Millions of gp, time and effort ruined? *shudders*

What I have heard mentioned is the possibility of including construction more in the world rather than in the instances our POHs are built in. I think I'd rather see that - completely new ways to train it- rather than try to fix the old code with potentially disastrous effects, sadly.

I love construction and I wish there was a way to implement some of the awesome suggestions in this thread. But I'd rather keep my existing POH, with all the love I've lavished on it so far, as it is, than have it ruined by an overambitious update. :(

The construction skill feels kind of clunky. It's an old skill now, that's never really had a big update since it's been released. The actual potential of the skill is awesome, especially the idea of the skill being outside POHs. Also, completely random, but I've always thought having fairy rings implemented into the houses would be great, although perhaps not on the letter system but on numbers, so you could teleport to your friends houses via the system or something. The skill just needs some TLC.

:)
