It looked like, for the moment, discussion on an actual plan was paused. Alicia looked worried, but she had been looking more and more worried throughout the entire conversation. It wasn't surprising; she knew that any option here wasn't going to be great. It was a lot of pressure for someone her age to know that stopping a war hinged on her while also being something she had no control over, and although she was doing quite admirably in not showing the strain it was clear that it was there. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Annie nodded said in a calm voice,"Your welcome and I understand. I just can't sit around when others are risking their lives. There has to be something I can do to help." She felt she was finally been heard and not treated like a stupid 12 year old. -Dances-

Gareth Arenar

Why were the two of them acting like he was the odd one here? With information no ordinary people in their position should know, they act like he was the odd one for wanting to know where they actually acquired that information? Why was he the one accused of derailing the conversation with one question when a child had been occupying half of everyone's attention?

"It was a reasonable question." Gareth spoke somewhat defensively, meeting the Captain's gaze with his own. He then turned and glared at Bridgett, who may have said the worst thing she could have possibly said to him. He shook his head slightly.

As for Annie, she had continued insisting that there was something she could do to help, and Travis's soothing had only gotten her be less loud about it. Gareth himself had tried to offer her a task that would make her feel important while keeping her safe and out of anyone's way, but either she had seen through it and felt it was too boring. Stating the facts hadn't worked either, so all anyone could do was either tune her out until she quieted down or left the room. If they engaged her every time she spoke, they would never accomplish anything.

"Back to the planning process, then." Gareth said at once, his tone reverting back to its serious, formal tone. "If I recall correctly, there had been seven enemies on our ship. I think it is fair to assume there were three or four more guarding their own ship, making for about ten or eleven overall, minus losses. These are, of course, assumptions, but I believe them to be reasonable ones - they would not leave their aircraft unguarded, yet it seems impractical to post an excessively large guard when none of us were supposed to be armed."

"Though we are advancing through unknown forest against a still somewhat unknown enemy, there still is room for caution. We should come to a stop some distance away from our destination, and send one or two people ahead to perform recon. They can come back to the group with a report, and we can plan our next move from there." He stated simply. "Due to the enemies' low numbers, I doubt they will be able to maintain extensive patrols, so hopefully it will not be too difficult to maintain a low profile." Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Bridgett

Bridgett looked a little troubled at Gareth’s glare, but she returned a fierce glare all the same. Gareth was her friend, damn it, and she’d be damned if she would let him run off to his death in a moment of weakness. He was better than that, damn it.

With a shake of his head, Gareth seemed to cool off. Shifting her gaze aside, Bridgett tried to gauge the tension in the room. Travis seemed busy placating the kid, the crazy man in the corner seemed somewhat restless, and the Princess seemed worried, bless her soul. This discussion wasn’t going anywhere fast.

Apparently Gareth and the Captain were of the same mind, continuing the conversation where it left off. As the Captain answered Gareth’s previous question, something leapt out at Bridgett – the nickname “Harbinger” sounded erringly familiar. Had she met such a man before who had such a nickname in passing?

Bridgett shook her head. That didn’t matter right now.

“Do we want a low profile though? If we’re banking on the enemy to have low numbers, perhaps it would be a good idea to focus the enemy’s attention on one point.” Bridgett said, her gaze now fixated on the princess. "Something that could draw them onto open ground, away from the ship."

Ridley and Ben

Chloe had said she may be able to fly as well, which was good. The more people who knew how to fly, the better.

As for the arguing, well, Ben did not seem to care, and Ridley continued occasionally chuckling here and there.

“Deh kid’s got sum fire, eh?” Ridley remarked.

The captain made a peculiar revelation. He was once in the military, and had a little history with some mercenary fella nicknamed Harbinger. Talia and Alicia didn’t look happy, but at least Annie seemed to feel a bit better after the exchange of words with Gareth and Bridgett, but the latter did not seem to like each other. The willingness to help, to be active, to just do something, pulsated strongly in her.

Bridgett and Gareth spoke their plans and views on the situation.

“Recon, eh? Maybe a random kid playin’ in tha woods,” Ben remarked, looking at Annie and briefly raising his hand to her, “wouldn’t look suspicious.” he suggested.

“As for focusing the enemy’s attention... All I can think of is burnin’ a tree or a few, the wet branches’d make lots a smoke, might be a decent distraction for a while.” Ridley remarked.

“Oh. yeah, we just let you runnin’ around with a torch over yonder, shoutin’ burnin’ people to death, that’ll be a distraction.” Ben somewhat mocked.

“Nice one!” Ridley exclaimed with a broad smile, but did not seem to really care.

Gareth shook his head at Bridgett's implication. "We could probably use her to lure a group out, then kill or incapacitate them, thinning out the amount of foes we need to deal with... but we can't risk it. If we fail, we will have delivered her to them on a silver platter. And that we cannot do." He stated firmly, stroking his chin in thought.

"We could perhaps take the uniforms from those who boarded us, and try to disguise ourselves... but that will only work from a distance. If it's a small group they will likely know each other's names, faces, and voices. Even if they can't recognize each other, they likely have callsigns." He wished they had taken one of them alive - if only someone had thought of that. "And if they know they've taken casualties they will immediately deduce that we aren't who we appear to be, based simply on their numbers."

"And a random kid playing in the woods WOULD look suspicious, considering where we are." Gareth stated bluntly, turning to Ben. Then, he looked at Ridley, and his expression became somewhat annoyed again. "As for the fire, no. If they see signs of a fire, they won't go out and investigate. They will move somewhere else before it can reach them. And while the rain might control it, there is still a chance it will spread all the way back to our own ship. We've been over this."

Annie with a calm voice," I agree with Gareth on this on. Plus it would be dangerous for the rest of the group who was going to find that air ship and the people who staying here. There has to be another way." -Dances-

Bridgett

…But a Princess running about the forest might .” Bridgett mumbled, following on from Ben and Gareth’s comments.

Forgive my impudence, but we needn’t gamble with the genuine article. ” Bridgett said, before offering a brief bow of apology towards the Princess. It was awkward, due to the lack of space in the room, but she didn’t seem to care. “ But for this plan to work, we would only need a passable look alike since the storm itself would hinder visibility. If we could successfully communicate that this ship was otherwise unsafe, they should consider taking the bait hostage under military law.

Bridgett gave a slight pause, before inhailing. What came next would likely be a hard sell.

Of course, they would need to confirm the Princess’s identity, and nobody aboard would pass a close scrutiny save the princess herself. Regardless, while they process the bait, who would notice if a few extra soldiers joined their ranks in all the commotion? ” Bridgett continued.

With the situation... Well, mostly diffused Travis found the conversation to be falling back on track, albeit Annie remained insistent on being a part of the planning process - there wasn't much he could do about that. Standing he fell back into his previous silence, listening and considering. The Captain revealed what the Guild member had been wanting to ask beforehand - about the guy in the mask, the one he called Harbinger. What they were told didn't give much use to them at present, but it assuaged some possible concerns.

But returning to the discussion of the planning...

Well, there was yet to be any agreement.

" I'm not seein' it, " He spoke up, shaking his head. " Disguises ain't gonna be helpin' us with this. That Harbinger fella' already knows at least two of 'em ain't comin' back, he woulda seen their bodies. " Travis was thinking back to where he killed two of the soldiers, their bodies tumbling down the steps into the cargo bay. Even if they had not reached the bottom their fallen forms would've been visible with a simple glance towards the stairs of the catwalk.

" What I'm thinkin' is... We got ourselves a group of six here to make this work. " Himself, Bridgett, Gareth, Ben, Ridley and Chloe. He didn't know the extent of any of their capabilities save Bridgett, albeit he knew the no-longer-drunk fellow knew his way around a gun. " Splittin' us into two teams wit' two goals might be an idea. Recon an' infiltration team, goal of gettin' inside the ship unnoticed an' subduing the crew. Distraction team, drawing attention to the front and keepin' the soldiers focused on them. "

The holes in this plan were as large as all the other plans put forwards so far, but there were a few additional notes to make.

" I ain't an expert, but the armour they had on looked pretty sturdy - could get the distraction team fitted up in 'em, might catch a couple of the low ranks off guard when you make a move. Soon as the infiltration team hears
