Crash Site - Ship Interior: Bridge
“
What we have will be handed out once we get everyone back inside. There’s not a lot, but with the power remaining we should be able to set a slightly warmer atmosphere inside the ship’s decks, and it should be enough to prevent anyone from suffering any adverse effects from their time outside. Our food supply is limited to what we can salvage from the monsters we killed and whatever emergency rations are still intact.
” the Captain told Annie. Neither he nor Talia had looked surprised when she had entered the Bridge, indicating that they had either already known she was there or were very good at hiding that they had not.
“
Spending effort on trying to get the passengers to fight is pointless, though. It might be a plausible idea if we had anything that’s easy to use, or enough that there was a surplus. There isn’t. Anyone that can already use what we have is already armed, and they already know how to handle themselves.
” Talia added. She seemed a bit irritated at what Annie was saying, and the reason for it became at least a little clear in what she said next.
“
You’re not fighting, either. Children should not be in combat, for any reason. From your own admissions, you don’t know how to fight, and therefore there is no reason for you to. Not only does it put you in danger, it forces everyone else to waste time and effort protecting you. The most help you can do is not get involved.
”
“
I am of the same mind as Silvandros. If you had combat experience, then perhaps it would be different, but I do not want to send any children, much less those who do not know what they are doing, into a potentially deadly situation.
” the Captain chimed in.
