The trip turned out to be longer than expected. At times, Analee asked if Talarin really knew where he was going, but he always assured he did, often checking a compass he happened to have, it seemed that Dark Elves could see in the dark. Although Bane did not seem to be anywhere nearby, Analee knew the falcon would show up, eventually. When dawn arrived, there was a clearing up ahead.

“Ah ha! See? Told you I knew where we were going! There is the open field, we're getting close, we just need to go across the meadow, the witch's house will be at the end of it.” Talarin said, sounding relieved.

The dawn-lit meadow was quite big, flanked by endless rows of trees, and full of closed flowers, tall grasses, and little shrubs, and Analee did not see a single tree anywhere within the meadow. At the other end of the meadow, Analee saw very old trees, full of drooping lichens, twisted branches, and gnarly bark that looked like a series of grimaces and angry faces. She thought she saw the silhouette of a hut or something, but the meadow was quite vast, and the walk would probably take another hour. Suddenly, Analee overheard a shriek in the air; Bane was calling from above, warning her of something.

“What was that?” Talarin asked, looking around in the air. Bane perched on one of the trees across the meadow.

Analee and Talarin soon noticed a tree in the middle of the meadow, about a hundred feet behind them, the sun not yet rising out from below the horizon. Did Analee have anything to say or suggest?

Analee followed Talarin, allowing him to lead the way. After all, he seemed to know where he was going. She stopped at the edge of her village and looked at it. Would see ever see this place again? That she did not know. Turning, she left what remained of her home behind her and set off with Talarin.

They walked for what seemed forever to her. Over that past six days or so, Analee had traveled more then what she had her entire life it felt like. She had asked Talarin a few times if he was sure he knew where he was going, and each time he responded that he did. She felt she had no choice but to trust him, which was easy for her. Maybe because of their past history is why she trusted him?

Buruk walked next to Analee, staying close as they walked. Bane hadn't been seen but she knew that he was fine. Up ahead was a clearing. They walked through the medow which was flaked with endless rows of tree and closed flowers and shrubs. But within the medow wasn't a single tree. She continued to walk, looking around as she did. At the other end of the meadow were old trees . The trees alone have her chills but she didn't know why.

As they walked, a loud shriek broke the silence. Bane. Looking up she saw bane as he landed on a branch of a tree ahead. Opening his wings, he flew to Analee and landed on her shoulder, peaking her twice. Danger. He was trying to warn them.

"It my falcon, Bane." She told him as they noticed a tree up ahead. "He is warning us of somethjng." Analee turned and looked at Talarin. "I have a bad feeling. Maybe we should leave." Her hand gripped tightly in her bow as she spoke. She was on full alert. When bane warned her, it was niranlly a true warning. But what was he warning them about?

Poca smiled as she followed Gulzod to the armory. She said," Nice to meet you Gulzod. Its good that someone knows how to get around in this place." They finally got to armoury and they walked inside. She saw tons of weapons lined up on the walls and other supplies around the room. She heard Gulzod told her that he's going to scout ahead. She said as she stop using fire because she can see everything in this room,"Ok. Please stay safe"

She started to look at all the weapons with amazement. She finally found her weapons on the wall and her pack on the floor under the weapons. She checked if she had all her supplies in the backpack and happy that everything was in their. She tied her sword shealth with the sword in its shealth on her waist. She also put her bow and arrows on her backpack. She looked around for other supplies. She found more food, blakets, water container, daggers and other supplies that she needs and she put them in her back pack. She also ate some food and drank water because she was very hungry. As she looked around she found oil and she might have a plan. She filled some of the oil on a container so, she can use later. She found a horn on a dead elf. She took it. Before she does anything she needs to find the orc. She took an elf helmet and iron chain armor that she put on. Then she put on her back pack and put her bow and arrow on her shoulder for easy access to it. She didnt know if she should stay here to wait of the orc or go find him.

Analee

“Hm... it must be nothing. Let's keep going, there's nowhere to leave to, anyways.” Talarin remarked, looking at Bane, Bane looking back, then Bane turned on Analee's shoulder, facing backwards, and slightly cawed.

Talarin walked forth, and Analee sighed. But, she trusted him, and followed him, gripping her bow firmly, ready.

After about half an hour of walking, everyone overheard an odd noise, sounded like something digging rapidly something. Immediately, Analee spun around, bow in hand, arrow nocked, and Talarin and Buruk also turned around. About fifty feet away from everyone, was a tree, the exact same tree they saw earlier. Surely, after half an hour of walking, they would have went well beyond fifty feet? What was it doing here now? Bane whistled, and flew off of Analee's shoulder, flying to the tree, flying over it, and cawing at the tree, then flew off to land on a branch of the nearest tree.

“That looks like the same tree from last time, what's it doing here?” Talarin asked.

Talarin was quite confused, so he faced the hut again, seeing that the silhouette of the hut was clearer, somewhat illuminated as the sun just began rising over the horizon, revealing a simple chimney, fence, chicken coup, and garden, and behind the hut seemed to be a wild wheat field. It would still take perhaps ten minutes to reach the hut on foot. The lone tree creaked...

Poca

Poca decided to help herself, why not? If the castle was going to collapse, might as well use as much supplies as possible before everything went to waste. She also got a small container full of oil, which may become useful later on. She put on a helmet and a small mail shirt. The mail shirt weighed under twenty pounds, which was rather heavy, and she was not trained for heavy armour, but at the same time, the mail shirt was not so heavy it encumbered her, and it was flexible enough to allow freedom of movement.

Not knowing what to do, Poca hesitated. Suddenly, there was another crash, followed by rumbling and shaking. Dust fell from the ceiling, cracks appeared here and there, and a section of the ceiling fell. Big chunks of masonry fell here and there, Poca skipping around to dodge them, and more chunks fell, blocking the double doors. Once the shaking ended and dust settled, Poca realized that the double doors the Orc passed through were blocked by fallen debris!

Now separated from the Orc—for a while—Poca had to go it alone for now. She felt and heard more rumbling and shaking, but it wasn't as strong as before. Was this castle about to fall apart or something? Poca then overheard the sounds of fighting, so she spun around, facing the stairwell as dust flowed out of it and small rocks skipped about. She heard panting and footfall.

“...the catapults are breaking everything to the ground!” a soldier said, panting, entering the armoury while limping, “Get everything we can from here.” he continued. Behind him was another soldier, keeping an eye out.

As a reminder, the elven soldiers looked like:

“There should be a few healing potions down here somewhere!” the other soldier said, then spun around once he heard some growling.

The next figure to rush out the stairwell was another demonic fellow, similar to the woman Poca already encountered, a huge devil standing at seven feet tall and quite thick, as usual having horns and tail, wearing a thick robe, but his hood was down. He had pale baize skin, a broad face, long teeth, a scary angry face, long nose, and his hair was in a Mohawk and ponytail. He wielded a huge war hammer with the opposite end having a long spike, and he had a kite shield with the front covered with spikes.

The demonic fellow roared, swinging his war hammer around his head, the elven soldier swinging his halberd, but the devil blocked it with his shield and then swung his war hammer across the elf's helmet with such force that the elven soldier spun on his heels!

“AUGHH.” the elven soldier grunted as his helmet dented inward, spinning around as blood leaked out his mouth, and he fell over.

The first soldier who appeared spun around, swinging his glaive in both hands, but his attack was parried by the devil. The devil charged, intending to aggressively swing his war hammer, but the soldier suddenly pulled his glaive back and then thrust it forth just as the devil swung his weapon; the two ended up hitting each other at the same time. The glaive stabbed through the devil's body, and the devil's hammer hit the elf in the helm, staggering him.

The devil stepped forth, literally writhing up the shaft and then hitting the soldier in the helm again, knocking him down, and then turned his war hammer around and drove the spiked side through the fallen soldier's visor, killing him. Pulling his war hammer out, the devil glared at Poca, then weakly walked towards her, still impaled by the glaive , and so unable to move decently. The fight was so quick Poca did not know how to react, but she'd have to now!

Analee let out a sigh but didn't question Talarin. She trusted him. Gripping her bow tightly, she followed behind him. After walking for about a half hour, an odd noise was heard,
It sounded like something digging rapidly. Analee quickly spun aroun, her bow pulled up and arrow nicked and ready to shot.

About fifty feet normal from them was a tree. In fact, it was the same tree from before. "That does look like the same tree" she agreed as she gazed at it. Analeemslowly lowered her bow and loosened her grip on the arrow. That tree should be further away from them then that. Shouldn't it?

Analee slowly turned back around when she saw Talarin turning. Facing the hut, she saw the same thing that he saw. Even though the sun was slowly breaking over the horizon and casting it's light all around, the medow seemed to still have a glumy look to it. Crow could be heard crowing in the distance. Just as Analee was about to start moving towards the hut, the lone tree creaked.

Analee turned at the sound. The tree seemed closer to them. Was it moving? "Talarin" she whispered as she faced the tree. "Is it me or is that tree getting closer insted of further away?" Analee was unsure what was going on. All she knew was she had a bad feeling.

Analee

Indeed, the meadow looked gloomy and creepy. When Analee remarked that the tree was moving, Talarin paused, feeling his heart thudding against his ribs, so he slowly turned around. Buruk made a little whine, and stretched and yawned.

“Is it, really?” Talarin asked. The tree swayed by itself, even though there was no wind. Then, something odd happened: the very air began to darken, and the tree creaked again, then started shaking.

The tree's top adjusted, most branches breaking and falling by themselves, then a few glowing parts appeared, revealing:

At that, the air became so dark, it looked like nighttime. Even though the sun began rising, the darkness in the air blocked the sunlight itself.

“That can't be good.” Talarin said, then the strange tree-demon let out such a wail, that it echoed a few times. Buruk barked and growled back, tail raised. The tree-demon unravelled itself, and started crawling with its roots, arms extending, and the demon smiled. Then, it flung its arms into the ground, hooking the ground repeatedly as to crawl faster, heading straight for the two elves!

Poca drew her sword as she saw the devil just killed the elf and came towards her. She swung her sword in a zig zag and then stab trying to hit it in the heart. -Dances-

The tree began to sway itself, no wind blowing anywhere near it. Then suddenly, the air darkned and the tree started to creak, then started to shake. Analee jumped at the sudden movement of the tree, her heart beating quickly in her chest. She gazed up at the tree as the top of it started to adjust, branches breaking and falling. Then two red glowing....eyes appeared?

The tree had just transformed into a demon looking thing. The air darkened more,
Making it appear nighttime once again even though the sun was rising.

The tree demon let out loud wail that echoed around the meadow. Analee stumbled back as buruknstarted barking and growling at it. Suddenly roots busted out if the ground, and arms grew out from the side. Analee felt her heart drop as fear overcame her. The smile the demon have sent shivers down her spine. "Run!" She yelled as she turned away from the tree and ran towards the hut.

Analee had grabbed Talarins arm and pulled him along. Roots were breaking through the ground around them, some trying to grab them or trip them. As Analee ran, a root appeared infrintnofnher, causing her to trip. She fell through the air and landed on thengroundnwithba thud. She rolled across the ground before coming to a stop. Lifting her head, she looked back as the demon came closer. Wasting no time, she pushed herself up once more and ran. "What is that thing!?" She yelled out to Talarin.
