Hey English =), I have read up to the bottom of page 3 early today and it has already captivated my feelings and imagination. The beginning is interesting, a thorough detailed biography of a typical teenager's life in the modern era. Therefore, I was happily surprised that you have incorporated it into this period as well. It's thing like that readers can relate to.
Further on concerning the prince and his friend, I was shocked by it since I have studied history in school quite extensively and knows that friendship between such class difference are impossible in real life. So, it is a nice twist to defy convention. You then delivered a double blow when the next revelation was revealed. Because, I'm so used to things learned in history books, the shock was amplified all the more.
I tried to make this as subtle as possible to not ruin anything...
One phrase sums this whole thing up: Utterly unique. =)
