I logged on, ready for some revenge against those evil Aberrant Spectres. I teleported to the Ectofuntus and ran all the way to the Slayer Tower. Wow, I really need a Kharyll Teleport in my house...
I started killing the Aberrant Spectres. I think there was actually a bot there who was picking up all the herbs, but he didn't bother me; I was still able to get my kills! After a good 80+ kills, I managed to recieve a Hard Clue Scroll! I shaved my task down to 100 Aberrant Spectres left to kill, then left to embark on my clue scroll.
It took me all over the place, and eventually ended in the Arandar Pass. I opened my casket and found... pasue for dramatic effect... Absolutely nothing. There were some Nature Runes, a few Blood Runes and... Wait, what was that beside the Blood Runes? It was... A Yew Composite Bow. Absolutely awful loot
That done, I headed back to the Aberrant Spectres. The Slayer Tower was beginning to get a little crowded, so I switched worlds a few times. After only killing about 20, I got another Hard Clue Scroll! I left to complete this one right away. This Treasure Trail was much longer than normal, and ended in West Ardougne. I opened the casket to find a ton of rune items... Including a Rune Platebody (g)! I was pretty happy about that! 540k loot for me!
It was time for a quick Farm Run, so I deposited my Slayer Gear and took out the good ol' Magic Secateurs. I first headed to Morytania, then Falador, then Catherby. On the Catherby patch, something interesting happened. Normally, I only get about 6-8 herbs per patch. On this one however, I just kept picking and picking... I passed 8 herbs, passed ten, passed 15! I noted the herbs and continued to pick. Finally, it ended at 21 herbs picked. I couldn't believe it!

Harvesting 21 herbs from one patch is the most I've ever heard of anyone getting! In the end, I got about 47 herbs from my farm run, an all new record! Not only that, but I also achieved level 66 Farming! I sold the herbs for a handsome profit of about 300k.
I went back to killing the Aberrant Spectres after meeting up with DivineFury in the Edgeville bank. After only another 20 kills, I recieved a third clue scroll! I left right away. This Treasure Trail eventually ended in the Duel Arena. I invited Super Spiffy to help me out. I rn to the correct location in the arena and dug for my casket. I got it, and opened it with fingers crossed. Inside, was the best reward I've ever gotten form a Treasure Trail! It even beat my Saradomin Page 1! There, next to some junk items, lay a Zamorak Page 2! I was so excited! I let Super Spiffy kill me, and then showed him the page. I couldn't believe my good luck! This thing was worth about 3.5m! I teleported to the Grand Exchange and put it up for $3,999,999. Interestingly enough, it sold for that exact price
So, I got a 4m reward from a clue scroll! I couldn't have been happier. Now my cash pile was at 11m!
I went on a quick farm run, sold my herbs and killed the remaining Aberrant Spectres, who dropped no further clue scrolls. After that, I went to Duradel for my next task. I got Jungle Strykewyrms! I've never had them before... That should be interesting.
That was all I had time for today! Thanks for reading!
See you later!

I started today off with a quick Farming run. I didn't get too many herbs though... Most of them gave me the minimal amount, and one of the patches had even died.
That done, it was time to start my task of Jungle Strykewyrms. I was a little hesitant; I had no idea what I should do to kill these things. It was really odd though. A long time ago, I saw a player killing these things while I was running by, and I thought "Wow, he's high level!". And now that I'm at that level now... Well it's really weird!
I eventually decided on using my Brackish Blade, along with some Super Antipoisons. Jungle Stryewyrms dropped Elite Clue Scrolls, so I was crossing my fingers for one! Killing Jungle Strykewyrms was much easier than I had expected. I rarely got hit, and they almost never used their magical attack. All I had to remember to do was to have my back next to a rock or a tree. Of cousre, I did forget to do that at one point, and I was hit a 300 by the Jungle Strykewyrm's Special Attack. Nothing a few Monkfish can't heal though! After a few kills, I got a Hard Clue Scroll!
I left to complete it right away. This Treasure Trail ended on Cairn Isle. I crossed my fingers for good luck and opened the casket. Inside, was an Ancient Page 2! This was incredible! I've been having insane luck with Clue Scrolls lately... I'm not used to it!
I sold my rewards and went back to slaying Jungle Strykewyrms. After a while of killing them, I got my very first Elite Clue Scroll! I had never done one of these before, so I was a little curious.
The first clue was a Compass. I quickly figured out that the coordinate was north of Castle Wars, and before long, I had dispatched the Guthix Wizard and retrieved my next clue. This one was a Scan Clue. I teleported to the White Wolf Mountain and started scanning. It told me to try another level, so I started traversing my way through the maze-like infrastructure.

The White Wolf Mountain underground tunnels are such a maze! I took forever to figure out how to get to the correct location. which happened to be just south of the Ice Queen. Eventually, I managed to find my way there.
My next clue was another Scan Clue, this time in the Taverly Dungeon. I teleported to Falador and ran there. I started scanning every few paces while I walked through to make sure I didn't miss anything. I found this one quite easily. The scan's coordinates were south of the Lesser Demons. My next clue required a Celtic Knot to be solved before it could be opened. I had never even seen one of those before, and it looked quite intimidating. In fact, I wasn't even sure what I was supposed to do.
After doing a bit of research, I finally understood what I was supposed to do. I started working on the puzzle. I actually liked doing the Celtic Knots more than Puzzle Boxes. After an eternity or two, I finally managed to unlock the puzzle. I got another Compass! This one ended up being just south-east of the Grand Exchange. My next clue required a Celtic Knot to be solved... again.
They were getting easier to solve at least. Instead of just doign the same thing, I began to actually understand the fundamentals of the puzzle, and soon, I had solved it. I had another Compass clue! This one ended up near the Baxtorian Falls, and after dispatching the Guthix Wizard, I was faced with a Puzzle Box. After solving that, I had yet another Compass clue. I had no idea that Elite Clues were this long! This was insane!
This one ended up south of Fenkenstrain's Castle. I must say, Morytania's new graphics are great! The vampires no longer look like sickened wretches.
Another Celtic Knot... Luckily, I was able to solve this one real fast. Another Compass clue... This had to be the end! I tracked this one down to west of Falador, near the Mining area. I got a casket! I crossed my fingers and opened it...

I got an Ancient Page 1! This was worth 385k! I was pretty happy about this. I'm so unaccustomed to having good luck that I was pretty confused. I sold at on the Grand Exchange for... 1m! That made me really happy! I made a bonus 615k off of my reward!
I went on a quick farm run and then headed back to Jungle Strykewyrms. After killing many more, I got a second Elite Clue! I left right away. This one was much shorter, and the Treasure Trail ended where the first began; North of Castle Wars. I got my casket, and tried to open it. I had to solve a Celtic Knot first! Real nice. I hoped I would get something good from this one. I solved the Celtic Knot and opened the casket.
Inside, was something that most people would only dream of getting (No, it wasn't third-age). It was a Fury Ornament Kit! Now I thought those were about 4m. I took all my loot and put it in the Price Checker. My jaw literally dropped to the ground when I saw instead of $4,000,000, I saw a massive $25,000,000. I couldn't believe it. Was I dreaming? I was in shock (still am actually).
Pretty much nothing except Third Age can beat a Fury Ornament Kit. I just could not believe my luck! I wanted to show TheSpiffiest right away, so I met with him in Canifis. He wasn't amused, consiering his too closest friends had just recieved amazing rewards. He wanted to see me wear it, so he traded me his Amulet of Fury. I made sure that putting an Ornament Kit on the Amulet first was reversible. I put the kit on the amulet and put it on. It looked really, really cool! I was so excited! I took the Ornaments off and gave TheSpiffiest his Amulet of Fury back. I headed to the Grand Exchange, an put my Ornament Kit up to +5%. It sold after a while and I got an amazing 26m for it! This was a game changer.
I decided I wanted to buy some Bandos Tassets with it! I switched to World 2 and hunted around, but couldn't find any amazing deals. Grand Exchange it is then!

I put an offer for 17m for my Bandos Tassets. I was thinking about buying an Amulet of Fury but decided against it. I had an extra 22m in my bank... Enough to start flipping again!
I went on a really quick farming run, then finished off my Jungle Strykewyrm task. Before I logged off, I got a new task: Black Demons.
Well... That is the most luck I've ever had in my life. Too bad it had to happen in the virtual world of Runescape
Maybe next time, I'll get Third-Age!
Thanks for reading, and see you later!

I logged on today. Would my Bandos Tassets have bought? Nope. I teleported to the Grand Exchange and put them in for medium price. They bought instantly! I put on my now full Bandos and admired it. It looked... amazing! I wanted PvM Paladin to see this, so he came over and I showed him my new armour. I looked just like a maxed level 138 apparently
PvM Paladin and I chatted for a while, but inevitably I had to leave to complete my Slayer Task. I had Black Demons, so I teleported to Falador. Now normally I bring Prayer Potions to Black Demons, but this time, with my new armour, I decided to just bring food. Bad mistake. I had forgotten that although Bandos is more expensive, it offers less of a defensive bonus than Barrows, due to it being non-degradeable. After only killing twenty or so, I had to teleport out and get some Prayer Potions.
Back in, I discovered that I physically couldn't attack a Black Demon anywhere. The bots were rampant... I switched to a French server. There were four cannons at once there, so I switched to a German server. Only one cannon there!
I stuck with that and slowly killed the Black Demons. With only four more to go, I had run out of Prayer Potions, and my Prayer Points had run out! I tanekd out three of them, but on the very last one, I just couldn't do it. I asked a player there if I could have a sip of a Prayer Potion. Lucky for me, he let me! I used a bit of his potion, killed the Black Demon and got level 75 Slayer!
It was at this time that a player in my Friends Chat stated that Jagex was going to give a +10% experience bonus to players who refer friends. In all honesty, I thought this player was joking. I checked the homepage, and to my utter disgust, there it was.
There are no words to describe how I feel about this program. None at all. I usually back Jagex on almost everything they do, including the Katana. But selling bonus xp? That's just wrong.

I checked the forum thread on it in Recent Updates, and saw to my satisfaction that the idea was totally being bombed. But still, Jagex Moderators would not take the program away.
This was really the final straw for me. The bots, goldfarmers, trolls and now RWTers are ruining this game... When I first joined, a bot was a rare sight, and not many people really knew what they were. These days, you cannot go a few steps without seeing one.
The real abomination is that players are making more progress against bots than Jagex is. Things such as the infamous "Your resistance to dragonfire has run out." is just to name one.
I wanted to see what the higher ranked players thought about this new program, considering they are the ones who would most likey be using it.
Zezima wrote: I must admit this update is a little... disappointing.
Tezz wrote: Really?
It's now clear to me that Jagex no longer cares. I thought that they would manage to get the bot problem under control, but that hasn't happened either. I have now lost all respect for the company, and I am no longer willing to support them.
For those reasons, I've decided to not renew my membership when it runs out in October, unless things take a turn for the better.
As for now... Well I won't be quitting, but I certainly won't be playing as much as I used to be. So I'm sorry to say that I think I'm done here on this thread.
This thread has been popular since it started, and I've met some great people because of it. I've had lots of fun, and I really appreciate all the positive feedback. I just don't think I can have as much fun as I used to in a game that the company no longer cares about.
I'm sorry if this is disappointing to anyone...
So for the final time, thank you for reading this thread everyone. I do hope you enjoyed reading about my character's slow progress across the months.
Thanks to everyone who has supported this thread!

Alright guys. I've thought about it for quite some time.
The response on this thread has been, well to put it lightly, amazing. I didn't think people would react this way. I've spoken with numerous people, and I've decided that I will continue writing.
The main reason I was a little reluctant to continue is because I don't like going back on my word. So I'm hoping that you guys don't see this as some pathetic way to get attention; it isn't.
This thread is a one-of-a-kind, and I have decided that I don't want it to end... yet. Many other blogs have popped up over the months, some have lasted a few days, some lasting months. This is the longest standing one, and I don't think it's its time just yet.
I'm still a little angry at Jagex, but my reaction was a little... Well it was a knee-jerk reaction.
So... I'll see you tomorrow.

Today was full of Slayer! I had a Hellhound task, so I was running through the Taverly Dungeon when I remembered that I had once again forgotten my Dusty Key. As I was running into the Blck Knight Fortress, I noticed a player, l Rosary l, with a Fire Cape. She was only in the level 90s! I complimented her on it, and got my Dusty Key.
At the Hellhounds, I was getting a little excited. I was getting really, really close to level 90 Attack! Before long, I had reached that goal. It felt nice to have a big 90 next to that Sword.
Now Hellhounds drop a lot of clues, and that's why I love them so much. But it seems that my intensive luck with them had come to an end. Now here's the weird part: About a week before that really lucky streak, a player named "wbz" PMed me, telling me I would have very good luck. And what do you know, the next week I get an insanely lucky streak with Clue Scrolls! Weird, huh?
Now that I had gotten 90 Attack (and 112 Combat) I switched to training some Defence. I was really close to level 81 Defence already, so before long, I had gained that Defence level. l Rosary 1 happened to be killing Hellhounds too, so we chatted and eventually ended up adding each other. inally after completing around three clue scrolls, I finised my Hellhound task.
Back to Kuradal I went. This time, I got Greater Demons... 235 of them. This was going to be painful.
