The very tip of each of his fingers become bare to the bone, within each he holds a mortal touch. The black fires act as both an offensive and defensive power. Not only does it disintegrate most weapons which dare to breach it’s flames, but it also annihilate any living form it touches. To aid in the rendition of his retribution, Aequitas has the ability to summon a scythe. Boasting a razor sharp six feet blade, and a fifteen feet bone handle, this weapon bows to no one. A bone branches forth from the handle, allowing for greater handling. The scythe wields the power to reach past the physical and penetrate the soul, tearing a person from the inside out. Though it leaves no marks on the mortals, it severs connections unseen to the n@ked eye. This weapon either leaves parts of the body paralyzed, or leaves the soul tormented beyond repair; psychologically damaging the host, often rendering them insane. Aequitas can also take on the form of a raven.

In both forms, Justice has the power to teleport, for Justice is needed everywhere. The two opposite forms symbolize the varying opinions of Justice based on which side of the debate you are on. The human form is meant to displaying fairness and justice being served. Whilst the god form is exhibits the opinions of some that justice is unfair and evil.

REALM: Aequitas’ realm is one embodying the crucial differences in people’s perception of Justice. On the outside, the world seems joyful, a large mountain range encloses the entire world, where flowery plains abundantly grow and mirror like lakes reflect the lush green forests to perfection. A large town is settled in the plain, people there are content, Justice is served to perfection and no evil is committed. The people live full lives, tranquil and at peace. They worship the goddess. The citizens are Watchers and Sentencers (see subjects) who have passed unto the next life, and now live eternity close to Justice herself.

From time to time, living Sentencers will come to talk to The Eye (see acolyte) and request that important cases be brought before Justice, but apart from these, no living humans are allowed. Gods are always welcomed into the realm. At the center of the plains, rests a single peak, upon which rests a castle. So bright, it alone stand as light for the world, this is where Justice resides. It is the hall of justice to end all. This is where true Justice resides. But once inside the castle, beyond the magnificent marble halls, and moonstone columns, there lay a sombre staircase. It leads straight into heart of the beast. There, a funeral imbued prison holds the souls of the punished as they lay in anguish, forever forced to reminisce their crimes, lamenting and screaming. Aequitas can often be seen walking amongst them, kneeling and conversing with the dead. At the deepest level of the mountain, far deeper than the torment’s cries can be heard, there rests an isolated cell, protected with magical spells and wards. No one, not even Aequitas’ most trusted acolyte, knows whom resides within it, but the god often spends years on end contemplating the cell and conversing with it’s captive. Justice and Aequitas have quarters in both of these sanctuaries, but the Justice never descends the staircase in her female form. The only other living being to have seen the heart of the mountain is The Eye. Others know not of it’s existence, and content with the grandeur of Justice’s halls.

SUBJECTS: Watchers and Sentencers. These two entities are servants of Justice. These servants are humans whom have been granted partial powers in order to carry out their duties. They have dedicated their lives to Justice and have given up personal opinions and beliefs. They are merely conduits through which Justice is served. The Watchers were granted supreme sight and hearing, these are secret agents of Justice, walking the streets seemingly like a normal citizen.

But their ears are finer than the foxes, they are sentinels meant to observe society and find injustice whether it may lie. The Watchers than relay this information to the Sentencers, whom then seek out the injustices and bring them to the Eye. The Sentencers also carry out sentencing. The Sentencers have access to Aequitas’ realm for they interact with the eye, but the Watchers are trusted to act as citizens of their indigenous worlds and are therefore not granted rights into Justice’s realm, that is until death seizes them. Watchers and Sentencers are selected through voluntary devotion. They are humans who willingly come to houses of Justice and take the pledge to deny themselves opinion and bias, while dedicating their lives to Justice. No one knows the identity of the Watchers, but the Sentencers are known to all. The population has mixed opinions on these loyal subjects of justice, often they revere them when the injustice is dealt on a personal level, but fear them when the sentencing is not in their favor.

ACOLYTES: The Eye. Aequitas’ most loyal servant, The Eye is the leader of the subjects, a near omnipotent and omnipresent entity it’s role is to organize the followers. No one has ever seen The Eye’s true face or physical attributes, for it’s entire body is hidden underneath a large cloak. The Eye’s arms and hands are wrapped with funeral wrappings. In The Eye’s right hand, lays a large eye, this eye’s purpose and identity is unknown, although it is believed to be a conduit of interaction between the god and acolyte. Always surrounded by a dreadful fog, The Eye’s voice shakes any who hear it, it resembles the cries of those emoted alive in marble halls. How The Eye came to be and to serve Justice is unknown.

SOURCE OF WORSHIP: Anyone who has ever cried out to the heavens, demanding that Justice be carried out gives Aequitas worship. With every thought of injustice and every mental jousting over fairness, he grows stronger. His pool of worshipers is endless, a bottomless pit which everyone willingly dives into, abandoning all hope of ever swimming back out. Very few are those who do not implore Justice’s aid.

BACKSTORY: As stated above, Aequitas is one of the oldest gods in existence, preceding the birth of even legendary gods like Mars. He was born alongside the first steps of humanity, risen through the first thought of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, Justice has only grown stronger as time elapsed. His relationship with the other gods is fragile. Though many regard him as fair, and a worthy moderator for godly affairs and disputes, many turn their head away as he passes by them. For many he is a source of wisdom, but for others he is a feared powerhouse. Though he does not have power over other gods, gods can willingly submit themselves under his authority when resolving conflict, and for that reason he remains an outsider. Regarded as a lonely god, others rarely befriend him unless the need be dire. In times of peril, Aequitas becomes a welcomed ally, but in times of peace, he is a forgotten memory, thrown to the side like parent who’s child has reached majority. However, he does form deep bonds with gods who trail the same paths as he. Death probably being his closest friend.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: It is rumored that Aequitas played a heavy hand in the war between the two gods, Jupiter and Poseidon. Legend says Jupiter came to him, asking for aid against Prometheus who was amassing armies bound to undermine all the other gods. The story tells us that Aequitas shared the same vision as Jupiter, that he viewed Prometheus’ armies as unjust to the other gods, and joined the fight- a rare event for Justice who prefers impartiality. Known to be devastating in battle, his presence helped weigh the balance in their favor. However, because of this, many gods believed he had lost his unbiasedness and no longer sought his counsel. A faint whiff of this stigma still plagues the god, but most have come to understand why he took action against Prometheus.

OTHER: (Heres what I'm thinking. I was trying to come up with a way for Jupiter to still take out his revenge on Aequitas for siding with Promotheus, but I didn't want my character to be exiled, so I came up with a solution.

My thought is the following: The mysterious prisoner held within Aequitas' most remote prison is actually Justice herself. As punishment for Aequitas, Zeus would literally have cut the god in two, and separated both of his personalities, imprisoning his compassionate side. This allowed for Aequitas to be punished, and provies further injury to the humans as the merciful side of Justice is no longer residing over humans. I would not reveal this is my bio, but I think it would be a cool twist. It would explain why justice has taken a radical towards being highly punitive instead of rehabilitative. Let me know what you think. )

((Very nice bio, Reaper Ben, and probably the longest one I have ever read. Just a few things that I’d like to address that you couldn’t possibly know because I haven’t said them previously as I like to introduce lore/history type things as I go.

Firstly, something simple- because of the bio format*s lengthiness as it is, I prefer for enemies and allies to be included in other places of the bio. Anything not discussed in a backstory for example, would fit in the “other” category, and at this point I don’* want to adjust the bio format itself.

Second, also fairly simple- you describe the awesome effect your character has on others, and the intensity of its presence. This would have an effect on mortals, but you should keep in mind that gods almost never fear other gods, or feel intimidated by them because gods do not have power over one another. There’s no reason for a god like Bastet, or Eleria for example to ever have an inkling of fear. So your character would probably not be threatening at all to them. Just so we’re clear.

Third- I like that your character had a role in the fight between Jupiter and Prometheus, but don’t think that Jupiter would remain your character’s ally. Jupiter is fickle and has a terrible ego. Once he was done with Justice, he would have no reason to remain an ally.

On a similar note, I think it’s important to elaborate on the fight between those characters.

Prometheus created humans, and so many gods appeared with them. Everything changed, and Jupiter felt threatened. Jupiter saw humanity as a POSSIBLE army for Prometheus because Jupiter knew how he himself would use humans were they his. But Prometheus loved humanity, unlike Jupiter. To Prometheus, humans weren’t an army, they were sons and daughters. When the fighting started, Prometheus’s children’s safety was his top priority. But these are all kind of disputable claims because Jupiter would certainly tell anyone that Prometheus had planned to use humanity as a weapon against him from the beginning. Prometheus would argue otherwise, and so on and so forth.
Just something to think about.

Next- I’m not sure about your character being born so early. Of course, Justice would be very, very old, but I think it would appear WITH some of the older gods. Venus, Mars, Minerva so and so forth.

Mars would, for example, likely appear the moment that Cain decided to feud with Abel.
It DOES make sense, however, for this to be something disputed upon by even gods. Gods love to brag, and to gods, age is a very status worthy thing. So there’s no need to change your bio. Just know that a god like Mars would be offended, and argue that he did in fact, come before Justice.
But that doesn’t mean he is right.

Next, it’s important that you know there are other gods with similar attributes. Minerva, for example, has a place in “law”, so there’s overlap with your god and others. And this fine, just, again, something to keep in mind.

And the last thing I can think of…
This mysterious prisoner hidden deep within your realm. If you plan on making this into a significan point, or if this prisoner is a significant mythological character, you might talk to me before you move forward with anything just to make sure that there’s no interference with the plot etc.

I know that seems like a lot, but I assure you, none of it is criticism, only information to consider and keep in mind as you play.
Needless to say, you’re bio is accepted and you can begin whenever you are ready.

My suggestion, as usual, is that we act as though your character was present at Bast’s meeting and is moving forward along whatever path it now deems important. If you have any other ideas, or need more suggestion however, we can certainly introduce your character in a different way.

In other news, we’re still waiting for a Randell post. If we don’t get one soon, I’ll try to come up with a way to get our characters out of his realm and on a better track.

I've also update the character descriptions to accommodate some plot events (such as Bast's destruction. I also added "Eonfold Dynamics" to page three to try and clarify exactly how the Eonfold opperates.))

((Thank you GrimMagister! I welcome any constructive criticism or notes about my RPing, so I'm really glad you took the time to address the issues.

I understand the reasoning behind not wanting to make the bio longer. XD Seeing as though this is the longest bio I have ever written. If ever Justice does start conflicts or alliances, I'll just add them in the OTHER section as you suggested.

The fear side makes sense, I'll try to amend it out of the bio whenever I have down time.

I'm glad you elaborated on the Prometheus vs Jupiter situation. I'll definitely try to amend the bio then. Could I say that Justice sided with Prometheus, but obviously lost the fight? And that Jupiter holds Justice in contempt?

As for the age of my god, I intend to challenge your claim ;) All in good spirit of course. But I would argue that Justice came before Mars. Taking the argument of Cain and Abel, Justice would have been born as soon as Cain felt injustice at the sight of his offering getting reject and not burning before God, whilst his brother's was accepted. He then acted out on this emotion and started the fight. It was this feeling of being regarded as less than his brother that sparked the fight. His own perception of what was right, hence justice. :) It's would mean that Justice is at best a couple of hours (days?) older than Mars, so it's quite insignificant, but worth the bragging rights.

As for the prisoner, I had no one in mind specifically, I just thought it would make a nice sub-plot if ever you had wanted to throw someone in the story that was of some importance. I wanted it to be a conduit for you and the story, so if you don't want it to take a large part, it'll just remain a mysterious figure.

I'll try to work on my into this afternoon, I have to work in the morning :/ Thanks for accepting me! I really look forward to RPing!))

((Thank you for submitting the bio, I think you and your character will be nice additions.

You can certainly change your backstory so that Justice sided with Prometheus, however you might want to explain why Justice is not chained to a rock somewhere with an eagle that eats him alive every day. Jupiter is very, very wrathful.

On the issue of age, that’s a very good point And as I said, gods would love to argue about this thing. That’s certainly something to say to Mars, if he ever challenge’s your character’s claim.

I’ll keep in mind that the prisoner is an available item to use them, and I’ll think about it. Thank you : ) looking forward to roleplaying with you.))
