Joric Ironfist

"I'm waitin' for the Captain!" Joric said, referring to the dwarven officer who had led the reinforcements to Falador in the first place. "He hasn't shown up yet," the dwarf grumbled as he slammed a fist into the table. "He can't stay 'ere, he should be marching on Ice Mountain to retake those mines and 'elp our people! We dwarves 'ave never been the types to cave under pressure."

At the mention of a proposition, Joric learned forward, and stared Aureus in the eye. "I'm not interested in men or marriage," the dwarf said seriously, before leaning back and breaking into laughter.

"Alright then, what is it?"

----

Gareth

As the repair work began, Gareth came running to grab one of the ropes. Gritting his teeth, he pulled and heaved, helping to pull the gate into place.

Joric, although there a lot of dwarves here driven out from the mine, but most of them are miners, not fighters. How are you going to March to Ice Mountain and fight an army of Black Knights. It's suicide. You're kidding.
Aureus tried to dismiss Joric's idea of the suicide mission.

With the amount of dwarves here in the city, I think we should work together for a better planning. Some should stay and help fight the battle and defend, but capable warriors like Captain Hovrec Brewborn and yourself should come with us. Staying in Falador isn't a great plan either. We are like sitting ducks waiting for the black knights to strike and take us all prisoners. Sir Amik is not capable of defending us or leading the charge anymore, his white knights numbers are dwindled and low in morale.

Remember Garrett? The guy who took down the barbarian warlord? He has a plan. Let's go get the Captain, a few strong fighter and yourself, meet us as the North-West corner of the outer fence of the Draynor Manor. We'll take the battle to them, strike them at their heart.

Are you in or not?
Aureus extended his hand for a gentleman's handshake.

(( Mmm.. For my understanding there are about ~40 dwarves in the city -- alot died in the war and only 10 escaped from the outpost. -- and yes Skull did control the captain when he went into the mines for help, I guess we all forgot ))

Sedridor came walking out of the tower muttering something about skeletons in the basement. He wasn't paying attention and almost bumped into Seya.
"Oh. I'm Sorry."
He looked her up and down.
"Welcome to the Wizards Tower. What can I do for you? So Many visitors today."

***

The guard shouted to the men on the ramparts.
" Drop the Pins! Lets get this gate attached!"
He walked up to Garrett, Gareth and Two-Two. "
We got one more. Are you all still good? We can take a break if needed, I have a squire who can run off for some food if needed?"
The guard smiled, the difference noticeable between this one and the ones who were in direct contact with Amik.

***

Aranel approached the city of Draynor with Annie.
"It doesn't seem like there is a bar or an inn here. Maybe we can rest at the bank?
" Aranel moved into the city and noticed some odd figures around this town. She walked into the bank and the tellers all looked at them and smiled, but said nothing. Aranel noticed no clear place to sit so just moved to the far corner and sat on the wood floor. She rested her head against the wall and closed her eyes.

***

The guards who were after Aranel and Annie were currently inside the bar at Port Sarim. They were finally away from Amik and were taking certain liberties. They rested for about an hour or so and then decided to get back up and head back out. They left the bar and began to walk to the Wizards Tower.

Annie was shocked how big Draynor was. She nodded to Aranel's comment as she went into the bank. She sat next to Aranel to rest. She rested for a while but, she has ants in her pants. So,she decided to explore Draynor. She said in a whisper to Aranel,
"I am going to explore."

Then she walked out of the bank and started to explore Draynor. She found the market and looking for a snack for Aranel and herself. She was surprised how large that market was.

((From my understanding only about 10 dwarves escaped from the outpost to Falador, but most of the dwarves in Falador still survive including the miners and Black Guards who fought the last battle and we should have quite a handful in the city. That's my original understanding but George in post 347 in page 34 said otherwise so I compromised to follow what he said. Please check again, I have changed everything related to dwarves since page 34.))

Aureus was still waiting on Joric's handshake, who seemed to be contemplating.

Suddenly the door that opens into the inner barge open, with Captain Hovrec Brewborn walking inside.
Damned those Black Knights, collapsed the cart system to home. I couldn't get any message out to the consortium in Keldagrim.
He mumbled.

Aureus quickly went up to Captain Hovrec and held his hand up for a handshake. Both of them shook each other's hand and proceed to stand by the bar. Captain ordered an Asgarnian Ale, some said to be the best ale in Gielinor. Aureus proposed what Garrett had told him to Captain.

After some persuasion from Aureus, Captain Hovered Brewborn had agreed to take 2 of his best guards and himself to come with the humans.

Well I am always up for a fight. Damn those Black Knights, I'll get even with them. Nobody runs amok under my eyes here. I'll teach them to pay the price of messing with the dwarves. Ask Joric to come along, I'll meet you tomorrow early morning in "that place".

Aureus then turned to Joric's table and looked into his eyes before saying,
Captain is coming. Tomorrow morning, I hope you'll come too. Okay? I'll go get ready. See you!

Aureus proceeded to the bar and paid for the rounds with his remaining gold pieces. And a cheer was heard among the drinkers before Aureus left the inn. He ran outside to look for Garrett and Two-Two to tell them the good news, before noticing Gareth the blacksmith was there too, helping the reparation.

Garrett, Two-Two, I spoke to the dwarves. Captain Hovrec and 2 of his guards will come with us. I told Joric too but he hasn't reply me. I am not sure about him.
Aureus whispered softly to the two of his companions.

Tomorrow when we reach there, there will be the 3 of us, the dwarves, and hopefully Seyasiani would've spoken to Aranel and Annie and we will see them there too. I hope you have a good plan waiting for all of us.

Joric Ironfist

Joric looked to Captain Hovrec. "We can't retake that place with only a 'andful of men," the dwarf stated rather bluntly. "We need all your dwarves, and the White Knights. You led your dwarves to the defense of this city. Sir Amik owes you a debt. Approach him in public, where all can 'ear, and ask him to 'elp you. He won't be able to refuse, not without the entire city seeing him as a coward or a backstabber."

-----

Gareth

Gareth furrowed his brow, bemused at this unexpected news as will as the reappearance of people he believed to be long gone. "What? Where are you going?" he asked Aureus, before turning to Garret. "And I thought you already left? What are you doing back here?"

Seridor wasn’t the only one who wasn’t entirely looking where he was going, and Seyasiani had to pull a spin to the side in order to avoid him at the last minute. That brought her to a halt, and as she stopped, she realized how tired she currently was. It was strange, since the brief amount of time she had felt like this during the flight had been taken care of by seeing the tower, and she had thought it had just been her imagination that she had been tired at all.

A moment passed while she took a few deep breaths, trying to reinvigorate her ability to speak normally, before she finally addressed the wizard.

I’m here to see two people.
” she told him, the rather strained nature of her voice making it clear that she was still trying to catch her breath. “
Aranel and Annie, and it’s really important.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Aranel stayed in the bank with her eyes closed while Annie went and explored the city. A citizen came in and commented on a group of guards coming this way from Port Sarim. Aranels eyes opened and she got up quickly leaving the bank, going looking for Annie. She found her looking st the market stalls and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the water where a small boat sat. “Get in”. Aranel pushed Annie towards the boat. “And lay down. Don’t make a sound. I’ll come back when the guards pass”. Aranel moved away and went to hide, waiting for the guards to pass and to see if they would stop and look around the city.

***

Sedridor looked at Seya. “They left a few hours ago, heading back to Falador. Though with the trip back and the fact they didn’t rest while here I expect they would stop in Draynor. Check there if you didn’t see them on your way in. “ A wizard shouted from inside the tower and Sedridor turned and left Seya standing outside with this new information.

***

The group of guards were beginning to pass by the city. The stopped briefly at the bank, near where Aranel was hiding and discussed the mission briefly before continuing on to the tower.
