Annie listened what the eleven told them. She said in a tired voice,
”I trust you.You did save me from them. My name is Annie. What is your guys names? But I don’t know how to control my magic. So, I don’t know why he wants to use me. I don’t think I can travel because using my magic for the first time”

Aranel looked towards Gareth.
"I am not afraid of Sir Amik."
Should I tell them?
Aranel looked like she had an inner monolauge going on, trying to decide on something.
No.. Not yet.
"I knew him in my time on this plane, he is nothing to me. But enough of that, will you lead our group out of the city?"
She looked around to the rest of the group.
"That is, if you all will follow me out."

Aranel turned towards Annie.
"My Name is Aranel. I will teach you how to control your magic, but you look like you can walk well enough. "
There isn't one.

Name: Captain Darcius
Age: 39
Gender: Male
Race: Human

Appearance: Darcius stands at an imposing six foot six, with blond hair, pale skin, cold grey eyes, and a well-sculpted but heavily scarred physique.

Skills: Darcius is a veteran warrior and a skilled commander. He is good at instilling fear, loyalty, and respect within his men. He is well-versed in history and lore, and even knows a bit of fire magic.

Weaponry/Armor/Notable Accessories:
-The armour of a Black Knight Elite.
-An ornate two-handed runite longsword.
-An arming sword made from blackened steel.
-A black steel dagger.
-A bright crimson cape.

History: Darcius has served in the Kinshra all his life, ever since he was a boy. After he earned his knighthood, he turned out to be an exceptional knight, distinguishing himself as one of their best fighters. When it was discovered that he was capable of magic, he went south to the Wizard's Tower where he studied for a few years, and although he learned quite a bit, he preferred his life among the Black Knights and instead left to return to Falador.

Between his natural skill and his magical talent, it was decided he would join the Black Knight Elite; the best of the best among the Kinshra.

A devout Zamorakian, he frequently got into disputes with the White Knights over his faith, disputes which often resulted in duels and brawls. Eventually he was reassigned to the Black Knight Fortress in the north, so he would no longer 'cause trouble' within Falador castle. Many of his comrades from the castle would eventually join him there, when the Black Knights were exiled years later.

As the years passed he rose through the ranks, earning a reputation as a strong, competent leader. Now, he has been made Captain of the Black Knight Fortress.

Gareth

"I won't," Gareth answered. Even if he had been the kind, honest blacksmith he presented himself as, there was absolutely no reason for him to help her beyond what he had already done.

As a spy for the Black Knights, he had a duty and obligation to remain in the city and continue to send information. If Sir Amik took notice of him and thought he could be of use? That was good. It brought him closer to the White Knight's leadership and allowed him to acquire more information.

He sighed. "Just follow the western wall. You'll find it. Taverly is to the north, the Druids there can teach her something."

When the knights left and Aranel put away her bow Garrett couldn't stop a sigh of relief from escaping. Maybe he'd been staying at the Blue Moon for too long, this all felt like a bit of a wake-up call for him - though that didn't stop his throat from practically begging for a drink. After all that'd happened in the last few hours he kind of felt like he deserved one.

Not that he had time to ruminate though - a hand on his arm drew his attention back to Aranel who openly told them that they needed to get out of the city, convinced that Sir Amik intended to use both her and the little girl's - Annie's - magical abilities to his gain, while presumably strong-arming the rest of them into working for him as well. It was sudden but the elf's urgency seemed... Genuine.

Garrett got his chance to consider it when Gareth and Annie drew Aranel's attention again, the former suggesting a way out through the Western wall where an apparent hole had been left - though he refused to come along himself. He was a blacksmith for the city, he lived here, leaving everything behind because of a stranger's words? The sailor could understand that, at least. Annie on the other hand? She jumped at the chance to come along, even going so fr as to extract a promise from the elf that she'd teach her how to control her magic. Wait, the kid had magic too?

" Well... " It was here Garrett voiced his own input, running his hand up through his hair as he let out a long breath - a little exasperated - before his easy grin returned. " I ain't got any real ties to the city anyway - I'm Misthalin born, Sir Amik doesn't hold any power over me. " He shrugged, looking over the small group and momentarily sparing a glance around the rest of the infirmary - since Sir Amik's departure nobody seemed to have been paying them any real mind.
I am Inferi.

" There's a way South past the western wall, it'd be a longer route but we follow the path onto the roads and we'd find our way to Port Sarim, maybe Draynor if leaving Asgarnia is in mind. " The sailor scratched at his beard in thought. " If the girl needs training the best place for her'd be the wizard's tower, I'd bet. " I am Inferi.

Faraway, the dwarves knew of the barbarians. They had amassed at an outpost near Ice Mountain, where they had built a battering ram and attacked the city with utmost haste. Aureus had gone to the mines and formed dwarven allegiance. Falador would need all the help it can get. The dwarves would not offer their support in the Asgarnian war.

But something did not seem right. Why did the barbarians attack? For the sake of plunder? Perhaps. Nevertheless, the organization and co-ordination could not have been a coincidence. There had to be something more sinister going on...

* * *

Two-two noticed Gareth tied a dismembered guard’s wound. Wow, what a great guy!

Aranel briefly regained consciousness, and spoke of Aureus and Two-two in her weakness.

“Aureus went to the mines,” Two-two remarked, if Aranel heard her...

Two-two nodded at Gareth’s comment about Aranel’s well-being, mostly exhaustion than injury.

* * *

Outside, the dwarves sallied out their mines and engaged the barbarians still outside the city. With them were Aureus and none other than... ...Joric Ironfist!
Eventually, Sir Amik Varze sallied out with White Knights. He attacked the leaderless barbarians from the flank while the dwarves kept the savages busy. A flank by heavily armoured infantry would devastate lightly-equipped warriors...

* * *

Inside the abandoned building, more and more wounded were taken.

Aranel was glad her spell worked for Garrett. Without it, Haraldur would have injured him, or worse. The two spoke, while Two-two just kept quiet with her back to the wall, great helm under her arm. She listened.

Wait, he has magic? I didn’t see anything like that.

If those who saw Aranel’s magic possess some of it themselves, Haraldur could have been a wizard, had he chosen another path in life...

Like Aranel, Annie, and the others, Two-two heard the arrival of the dwarves, “Hah hah! Finally we get some help!”

Gareth arrived, with a comment about prejudice.
Two-two frowned, Father was sometimes prejudicial...

Garrett and Gareth continued their conversation with Aranel, but Two-two kept quiet. She noticed Annie, injured, also quiet, until a while later the girl got up and took her leave.

The two eleves eventually used their bows to support their allies from afar. It would not be too long until the remaining barbarians routed.

Sir Varze returned. He referred to the named characters as heroes, which made Two-two smile. She watched as Aureus ran over and hugged Aranel. Two-two’s smile widened. Aureus changed Amik’s mind about what to do with Aranel, but Two-two was rather clueless.

Aranel formed an arrow, and threatened the White Knights who obeyed Amik’s request to escort her. Garrett tried to ease the situation, with the wit to mention Annie’s injuries and motherly attitudes! Aranel wanted everyone to leave the city by morning, which got Two-two’s attention.

A plan was devised by Gareth: collapsed section of wall (that the barbarians did not seem to have taken advantage of), Druids up towards Taverly. However, Garrett suggested to head south, and the Wizard’s Tower was a great idea for Annie’s Rune-less powers.

Two-two looked back at Aranel, “I think we should head south. That way, we’ll be farther away from Amik. If Annie can’t control her magic, it makes sense to request help from the Wizard’s Tower.”
