Who are you and why are you with this group? This group is considered traitors to the city of Falador. I have grounds to execute them. If I were you, young lady, I would separate myself from them immediately."
Something seemed off in Sir Amik's eyes. There was a look of desperation that was not present before. It is obvious that he is under stress and is not caring to keep up his false persona of the friendly interim king.

Sir Amik stepped away from the group waiting on the responses between each individual person he approached.

Sedridor grabbed Annie and pulled her out of the way and into the corner as the Skeleton came barreling into the room. Aranel stood as the skeleton came charging after the young dwarf. She raised her bow and allowed an arrow to form. She let it go but too late as she was distracted by worrying about Annie. The arrow flew right past the skeletons head and gouged into the brick wall, before fading into nothing.

The skeleton swung its sword out at the dwarf who was trying to fight it as well. The size of the dwarf was not allowing her to get effective hits. The Skeleton missed and was charging up for another attack. Aranel let out a sigh of annoyance and another arrow filled her bow. She aimed appropriately and let her emotions and worry calm. She closed her eyes and felt everything fade away. Sedridor noticed her eyes closed.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! OPEN YOUR EYES! You will hit the dwarf!"
Aranel ignored him and let her arrow loose, while her eyes were still closed. She knew before she even opened them that the arrow hit true. The skeleton collapsed into a pile of bones. "
I do better under pressure."
Aranel shrugged.
There isn't one.

Garrett looked around as the squire led them to Sir Amik, noting the poor shape of the knights in the courtyard along with their far lower numbers. The barbarian attack had really done a number on the city's defence force, and after the dwarves got attacked it was no wonder the city was hurting for assistance. Entering the throne room was... Strange. Only a few guards were posted about the room, and the sight of the self-proclaimed king lounging upon his stolen throne gave anything but a look of strength. Falador was crippled.

Amik wasted no time in approaching them, one by one, shooing away the dwarves after declaring that Garrett and the others were considered traitors. Immediately the sailor narrowed his eyes, a scowl crossing his face even as the white knight's leader stepped up to him and complimented his actions in the battle - only to ridicule him for leaving afterwards. Two-Two received similar treatment, and Aureus got an even more scathing condemnation. When Amik moved on to the girl, Seya... Something, despite his confusion he was quick to ward ehr away from the rest of them, even going so far as to declare he had groudns to execute them! Here, Garrett had enough.

" Some thanks we get after helpin' save the city, " He growled, folding his arms and glaring at Sir Amik openly. If the self-proclaimed king was going to show his colours then Garrett sure as hell wasn't going to bow and scrape before such a slug. " You ain't got grounds ta' execute us, not even got a leg to stand on callin' us traitors! Not a thing we went and did went against the law, we weren't obligated ta' stick around! "

The sailor pulled an arm from his chest and jabbed a finger back at the entrance, his voice raising slightly more.

" And ya' know what else? You're overestimating the magic those girls had! I saw it, I experienced it, and there ain't no way either one of them had the power ta' scare off an army! By Guthix, the kid was covered in self-inflicted burns!

She'd have blown herself and a bunch'a your knights up as likely as she'd have blown up any enemies! " Garrett pointed a finger at Sir Amik then. " And 'collect the two women'? They left under their own free will, you ain't got any right ta' them servin' you. Matter of fact, none of us got any reason ta' serve you - I'm here ta' help good folk in a bad spot, I ain't here for you. " I am Inferi.

Annie jumped as Sedridor pulled her out of the way. She said in a scared voice,
”Thank to you for saving me.”
She took some big breaths to calm herself again. Then asked,
”Are we going to work on my magic now? I am calm and not afraid.”

((OMG Riniya I'm so so sorry. I didn't see what you posted there at the end of your last post. I totally missed it. I thought we still have shared control and I just thought of moving the story a little since you were not here in Falador. My bad, apologies for the mistake. I have already edited the last post and now I will let you take full control of Amik as you wish, will not post anymore on behalf of him. Apologies.))

Upon Sir Amik's questioning, Aureus stayed quiet. He shrugged his shoulder and looked completely disinterested. While Garrett was making his stance and thoughts clear to Sir Amik, and it's obvious he was not happy at all, Aureus just stayed quiet and looked at them.
Sir Amik won't do anything to any of us. Not during this time of crisis. Besides he needs our funding, and right now, help.

To say that Seyasiani was confused was an understatement. Everything going on here didn’t feel right, and the enthusiasm that she had been feeling and showing before was melting away as the situation progressed. Sir Amik wasn’t acting like a valiant White Knight, at least not as they had been described to her by her friend, and the image that she had built up of such a person was slowly starting to crumble. For someone who came in expecting something that wasn’t there, the way that Sir Amik was acting was...well, a little devastating.

In fact, she was taken aback enough that she didn’t manage to come up with anything before Garret started talking, and once he had there certainly wasn’t any spot for her to interject. It didn’t make any sense, though. Everyone here had fought, and seemed to have fought well, in the previous battle, but Sir Amik was angry at them for no reason other than the fact that they had...left after the battle? But they were back here, so what was the problem?

This wasn’t how a heroic leader was supposed to ask, and the seeds that had been planted by Garret’s earlier words couldn’t help but dig themselves deeper into her mind. He referred to himself as a king, too, and that felt as wrong as everything else. His eyes gave even more of a clue, the desperation clearly showing, and while she could rationalize that normally the persona that was bleeding through was far from just. There was too much that, from a perspective of an adventurer that was trying to combat what was wrong and evil, wasn’t good here.

Still, she had to give a response, and to those that had met her outside it would be clear how hurt and confused she was due to the difference between her voice now and what it had been outside.

I-I’m Seyasiani. I’m here to help because I heard you were under attack. I want to help the people of the city.
” she told him, stumbling over her first few words as nervousness that hadn’t been there before kicked in. Being here made her painfully aware that she wasn’t a big adventurer, not yet, and certainly not with the way it felt like he towered over her.

She wasn't afraid; more shocked and unable to really process everything perfectly just yet. Part of her mind was trying to deny this, to pass it off as something else that wouldn't tarnish the image she had in her mind. The rest knew that was wrong, but that didn't mean it could make sense out of it just yet. Only the feeling that she had to introduce herself and explain why she was here had gotten her talking at all.

Sir Amik glanced at Garrett as he spoke out against his actions. His eyes flashed with anger and noticed that none of the others save for Seya have spoken yet. Sir Amik began to softly smile. It grew and grew until he began to laugh. His guards looked around uneasily and began to slowly inch away from him.
"Help the City."
He laughed more.
"You did help the city."
He guestured to the courtyard.
"What's left of it!"
He kept laughing. This was the actions of a man who was deranged. The stress was weighing on him.

The laughter suddenly stopped and he seemed serious.
"I might not have the grounds to execute you yet, but If I do truly get them. I will do it, because you might not have broken the law yet, but you will. Eventually."
He tilted his head to the side.
" The young one, you are right, had no control of her magic. But the older one, Aranel was it? She had wonderous control, as long as she doesn't care about those she fights with apparently. How did it feel having that magic rush you?"
His last question was directed at Garrett.
"And the young one only needed training, who better to do it than Aranel?"
He seemed thoughtful.
"Training. She needs training."

He Smirked.
"Training."
He motioned to the guards and one stepped forward and approached Sir Amik. Sir Amik turned away slightly from the group and whispered something to the guard. Faint words could be heard drifting across the room if you were listening.
"I......... Tower...... Group...... Capture.....Back......Now."
The guard nodded and left the room.

Sir Amik turned back to the rest of the group, his attitude had changed and he seemed pleasant.
"We are fearing an attack from the Black Knights to be coming any day now. I would greatly appreciate and reward everyones

efforts in helping the city fortify in case of a coming attack. If you would please head outside to the main gate, there is a man standing there leading the rebuild. We could greatly use you in the upcoming war. Don't help for me. Help for the citizens of this city who call this their home."
His persona had changed back to the friendly Interim king that everyone knew him as. He stood, smiling, waiting on a response from the group standing in front of him.

His offer to freely give money to a group for rebuilding the city would be perceived as odd if you knew the status of wealth in the city. They were raising taxes, claiming they needed money, yet was very willing to just give it away here. It seemed that the lack of money was greatly exaggerated.

Sedridor moved out of the corner, releasing Annie. He stared at the pile of bones laying on the ground, his mouth open in an "O".
"Now Where did that come from!? We have no skeletons in the tower!"
Sedridor did not address Annie's question of training as it seemed he had other matters to attend to. "
I'm sorry. If you will excuse me."
He promptly walked away from the women, up the stairs, and out of sight.

Aranel watched him leave, saying nothing to stop him.
"Annie."
She looked back at the girl.
"He already has trained you. He can't teach you to control your emotions, nor can he teach you to call your powers forth. You just needed someone to explain as such."
Aranel shrugged.
"Its how I learned. The same way he just did for you. A little talking, and a lot of practice."
Aranel reached down and picked up the skull of the skeleton and set it on the table.
"You might not get it your first try. But calm your emotions. Think of your fire and let it go in the direction of this skull."
Aranel reached for the dwarf to pull her away and moved far away from the table.

The guard who left the room went and gathered a handful of the white knights who were training in the courtyard as the group entered the keep. They immediately departed and left through the portcullis into the city of Falador. It was clear where they were headed.
