Nuh-uh. People tried to sell me that crap in Skyrim, and not being able to move effectively in the day SUCKED big time. Plus the constant Dawnguard ambushes were a problem... by comparison, the vampires were pushovers. O_o

EDIT: Also vampires also seem to always have a flawed heretical system based around a cliché villain you just know some Hero is going to shove a holy sword through one of these days. Why would you side with the losing team?

Constant Dawnguard ambushes kept you supplied with crossbow bolts.

Bethesda: So, you know that new Dawnguard add-on? We are now including the ability to smith your own arrows! :)

Player: Why don't you just add that straight to the main game? That has nothing to do with vamp-

Bethesda: We are also adding crossbows! We know how much you fans have been requesting crossbows! :D

Player: Will we be able to smith our own crossbow bolts?

Bethesda: Nope! XD

Player: ...

I suppose it all depends on whether or not you're the Hero.

Because if you're the Hero, you get to pick the side, and whatever side you pick wins - vampires included.

If you're not the Hero, and instead a side character, then the Hero is probably going to pick the good side. If you value your health, you should follow them, because they have plot immunity while you don't.

And while it is true that you end up shoving a sword through the main villain either way, if you side with the vampires you get to replace that villain.

But you can smith crossbow bolts and better crossbows - though only if you join the dawnguard for a 5 second tutorial and a 3 hour side quest. O_o

Vampire Lord.

Your argument is invalid.

And before you say that you can become a Vampire Lord with the Dawnguard as well... that is true, but they cut off ties with you until you cure yourself. Meanwhile, the Vol**har offer you items that boost your Vampire Lord's strength, which you can only obtain by working with them.

Ironically, my character became a vampire because of what the Dawnguard said when I tried to bring Serena to the castle (Something along the lines of "get us information&quot ;) . What's my reward for being a mole and putting up with Harkon? Constant harassment.

I call lawsuit.

Lets face it, you only want the Dawnguard for their crossbow, bolts and quests. Beyond that, you'll probably never see them again... that is, unless you've taken a liking to their spiffy armour.

Plus, being turned by Serena is a lot better than by some sweaty self important old toad biting your neck. Since we know Vampirism is gained by females performing the rites (despite what Harkon says), your powers will be less distilled (in lore).
