Exactly. That's what I'm saying. It's essentially the same thing, said in a different way (it's how my friend and I discuss it).

What I had in mind is real-time realistic interaction. Although I made several posts describing the battle, all in all, the battle would not have lasted more than half an hour thus far. I will post soon as well, and I am hoping Farren can do something significant, less he be left out again!


change of plans I am going outside to practise with my swords, as I often do daily, so I be back within two hours from now.

Yes, I have two longswords, and a great sword, arming sword, Viking era sword, katana, dadao, tomahawk, Viking era bearded axe, poleaxe, two spears, a rather small Gothic mace, flail, dagger, and I used to have kuk*i but I seem to have had lost it and can't find it anywhere. I also have a breastplate, backplate, pauldrons, a low quality coat-of-plates, riveted chausses, riveted mail shirt, a blackened butted mail shirt with a separate coif, articulated greaves, and an aketon with leather laces for tying armour. I also have a sugar loaf great helm (without padding or a chinstrap) but accidentally ordered medium size, so it's too small for me, so I plan to cut it open and make it into a barbuta. I also have a small bascinet but it's without padding or chinstrap, and the visor was just held on with a bolt and nut, so I will be modifying it in the future. I practise armoured and unarmoured combat as historically as possible; I also study medieval and Renaissance combat treatises and manuscripts mostly from Europe but I also study historic martial arts from around the world.

Your post mentions Annie watches the princesses return to camp, though that would be a long walk. As usual, Annie is mentioned to fight werewolves with her magic but nothing is described. Note that Ironwolf is not inside the keep, she is in the castle grounds in front of the keep, fighting Kritodemos and his hoplites, as well as the barbarians, Scythians, Amazons and Goth adventurers who suddenly galloped in. Read my last three posts on page 69 for more details. The keep is the central building within the walls of a castle, it is the “castle” behind the walls.



I really hope Farren and Zaphiran can get involved in fighting Ironwolf soon, otherwise they may miss the fight with her.

How long would you be accepting of the life-drain touch being around for? I wasn't going to use it all that much, but with the way Amelia's magic works she essentially has an eternal cycle of being able to do whatever she wants before revitalizing herself.

I'll admit, I did not design it with mass combat in mind.

Most legionnaires and crossbowmen will be leaving that area of the tower anyways, seeing as Atatos' branches are swatting the top of the tower down, so I suppose there will be a few minutes worth of that magic being useful for Amelia, or about two more posts. However, due to the brightness of Atatos' magic, I figure that his shadow is flickering and so Amelia's shadowy constructs would be hindered, maybe?

Hopefully, Amelia won't kill herself. Maybe Inkeyes can help her out or something. Since Ironwolf is Amelia's liberator, understandably she feels compassion to the giant undead creature. Ironwolf does have two endings already decided, depending on is she is killed or her "vessel" as alluded to by Inkeyes long ago is taken or destroyed. Maybe there will be a bitter-sweet ending after all! Or not.

Overall, I just want to wait for Farren, Annie and Zaphiran to get involved to maximise the users' content and activity. I am curious to see who becomes a thread master afterwards!


OK, I'm done for tonight. As usual, Ironwolf can be attacked at will and her reactions can be controlled. Atatos can also be attacked and his reactions controlled, however, Atatos has a tendency to not notice things easily.

The ability isn't limited to the tower, it works on whatever she touches. Basically, it's that she can drain the energy from anything she touches if she wants to, and since it's somewhat of a euphoric effect she's gonna want to keep doing it for the duration of it being there.

As for killing herself, that's very unlikely. The effect won't cause her to die, but someone stabbing her afterwards if they want to would, since she'll most likely be out for a while. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
