West and Inferi,
Yes, I do get your points West, that when supernatural and horror themes are the 'norm' it may nullify or offset the extremes. In my original stories, I go way farther than in my RPs, but I won't worry about them. Suffice to say, my stories have always been unpopular, due to the extremes they tend to focus on, and, of course, the fact that I only make antinovels.

Indeed, just look at the Holocaust: thousands upon thousands of men, women and children obediently marched into furnaces to be burned alive, everyday. Such is the power hopelessness.

Heavy metal? Ha! More like blackened death metal or guttural death metal! Heavy metal isn't heavy enough for me, generally speaking. But ya, I get your point here of course, I was just teasing a bit. Most people don't like the furthest extremes of metal, and I'm OK with that, just like I am OK that most people will never be interested in my stories, even though all of them do not go full-blown early on, but gradually get more and more extreme. But yes, dynamics vary, and there is also opinion. Bands like SepticFlesh and Behemoth, however, do have much greater themes, dynamics and meanings in their lyrics and music videos.

I don't blame you. I'd never want to coerce someone into doing something they don't want to do.

Well then, this means that, I have run out of ideas for RPs. I just don't know what else to create or do, so I guess it's time for me to slowly go back to my original stories and fanfics, but I will remain with all RPs I am involved in for as long as possible, as well as try to join newly-created RPs of the future. Oh, and of course, users are still welcome to use bits and pieces of my existing RPs for ideas and Imgur images.

Delta,
I've also never made a musical RP or one about a band. It would not be interesting, methinks, unless others are.

West,
Ha, I noticed your OST link in your latest post for Shirley, it was great! Wait, there were reviewers of RPs?

Reviewing is when you go through something, and comment as you go.

Criticism is when you declare something to be good or bad, then give reasons why.

Judging in when you rank something, not necessarily with commenting or critiquing.

Personally, reviews tend to be the best, as you can honestly see what's going on with the user, so long as they've made an honest review. Criticism tends to be less valuable, as it's potentially either glorifying or bitching. Judging is the most useless, seeing as judges basically never give reasons why or how they judge.

Long ago, a few years before the Stories and RPing forums merged, I may have been the first user to openly complain about this, directly attacking entire story guilds, major users and leaders of guilds, and even official Mod-based competitions. Quite quickly, the non-Mods listened after a bit of arguing, and judges from then on (except Mods, of course) actually started commenting and reviewing stories submitted to competitions. It was a nice change, because it (ironically, rather coerced!) judges to interact with users, which I felt was a necessity, because the forum was not growing, users were disappearing, and I kept reading complaint-like posts from lesser-known users who quickly disappeared. Unfortunately, it was too late to actually fix or grow the Stories Forum, and now, almost all users I once knew have disappeared.

I'm not interested in a band/musical RP, and I don't know how to work one out. Also, I don't think anyone else is interested in the idea, and I prefer to RP when there's at least two other users active. Also, most importantly, I just don't know what to RP about in a musical RP. Like, what'd happen? Play songs on stage? Imagine notes being played? It just doesn't feel something that's packed with tension, action, and problem solving.

I suppose it would not have to be a modern metal or rock band, it could be something else, such as an opera RP (which would be kinda funny to do). Or, indeed, a musical RP in a much simpler context such as traveling troubadours, or something classic such as a young noblewoman escaping her mansion and just wants to dance and explore the world of the commoner/sailors/soldier musicians/circus/whatever.

Thus far, I don't think anyone's interested in any of these. Also, I tend to be a thread master quite often, and I think people are gradually getting bored of my style, and I don't blame them. There's only so many variations a single person can do.
