Well, you're allying with a bunch of barbarians who have the largest standing army and only have political power because everyone else is afraid of them. You should have been uniting all the other houses against them.
You know what I found really interesting though?
The fact that these extremely powerful families have been fighting each other for a hundred years, and suddenly the heir appears...
Heir: U wanna team m8?
Darnich: Sure
Deltrith: Sure
(Queue old hag effectively eliminating both houses)
Meanwhile, on the other side of the country:
Jordyn: U wanna team m8?
Kraji: Sure.
Bjorna: Hey, can we get in on this?
Jordyn: Sure.
Three of the five houses had allied with each other, and the remaining two destroyed each other, all of which occurred in the span of a few weeks. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
