Wow, Annie, did you forget the infamous LotC thread? "Legend of the Crown" it was called. Everyone joined it, and it frequently had 10-15 posts a day that I'd then have to sift through. It didn't help that Pickle gave me the ability to accept bios and such. I was so insanely busy and I couldn't keep up with the thread. It was doomed to fail by its own success. Irony at its finest.
Nah, I wasn't here before 2012. It was... early 2014 I think? Not entirely sure of the timeframe but I remember it being loads of fun. Originally there was going to be some huge story revolving around the houses' fighting and deceiving and allying to earn the crown while Pickle's character (the true heir) also vied for it. It hit 1000 posts (if I remember correctly) and next to no actual progress had been made toward the crown by anyone. Tale had a character who

I remember leaving because it got too bizarre, actually. Everyone started introducing these random angel and demon characters which got increasingly insane, to the point where it just started to feel like a really cheesy anime instead of a thread about politics.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
I never realized you hadn't known of it! I wish there was a way to go back and see it, I wouldn't mind going back and reading it myself. That and "In the Wake of the Autumn Star." That was also a good one.
Not a fan of cheesy anime, Lasky? They're the best.
Well, besides cheesy super-robot-harems and your typical
