Race Bio
Name of Race- Vampire
Lifespan- Immortal (Age appearances can vary)
Appearance- Vampires are paler than the average subject of their race and are cold to the touch. They can possess a red, gold or pink iris and usually sport their two iconic fangs. If a Vampire ever begins to starve or decides to feed upon their own race, their skin will grey and quickly take on a more beastlike and feral appearance.
Race History- Your generic bloodsucker with a horror hunger that can only be sated by the consuming the blood and/or souls of sentient beings. They possess high physical, regenerative and magical aptitude – though are weak against fire, the sun and (un)holy rites. Vampiris* itself is a genetic trait found in most sentient species, though many capable of the gift simply live out their lives as mortals, few ever manifesting their true nature with their first feed.

Race Bio
Name of Race- Thrall
Lifespan- 20 years (Age appearances can vary)
Appearance- See vampires.
Race History- Your generic bloodsucking servant with a horror hunger that can only be sated by the consuming the blood and/or souls of sentient beings. Sharing the same weaknesses as their Vampire brethren, thralls also face the added peril of physically burning in sunlight, a need to hibernate during daylight hours and general sanity slippage over the course of 20 years – their minds and bodies slowly turning into that of ravenous beasts. Thralls are raised after a sentient creature dies after being afflicted by continuous vampire/thrall feedings over a period of time (ie. ~1-2 weeks)

Guthix, would this sort of concept fit into your thread - or were you imagining Vampires to be antagonistic monsters rather than player characters? If this doesn't fit the brief, I'll probably try applying as a blood elf - which might also fit the theme I'm looking for.

I've always wondered - do high stat but skimpy rpg armours herald a characters proficiency to avoid attacks, or do RPG armours actually provide a mana-fed force field called "HP bars" that prevent lethal blows from landing?

Well, funnily enough, I was thinking about fashion in rpg culture (and, by extention, Guthix's thread). Sure, leather chaps, halberds and chainmail are practical - but since when has practicality ever mattered in fantasy?

I believe, if I may offer my opinion, RPG armor works similarly to AC in Tabletop games. Sitting in enough metal to make a tank allows all attacks to bounce off of you, while light armor allows you dodge efficiently, but try to minimize damage if anything hits.

Or maybe it's a distraction. Female armor works because the enemies are all hot and bothered, and can't focus on chopping off your arms.
