Say I were to hypothetically write an intro at gunpoint under my own volition, would you suggest meeting one of the characters that have already intro'd, or create an entirely new scenario and meet up with the crew later?

Post Script. Let's RP.

Wow hey I still exist?!?!??

Okay but seriously, I'm probably gonna join George's thread because they usually don't require a lot of attention and are mostly throw-aways anyway. I have characters saved so keep an eye out for a totally recycled beautifully reworked bio.
I just play FFXIV at this point. DC: Crystal

I wouldn't suggest talking to Sheldus, he might think that you are here to arrest him, Lurden is very busy repairing one of the EMP cannons, but he would prefer to be drinking at Xenia's to maintaining the Edgewalker, which is pretty much falling apart-- hence the name "Edgewalker"-- because it is on the edge of breaking down permanently. So if you want to talk to Lurden, he is all ears.

My personal opinion, is to have your character meet another character, but since I'm the only one that's introed on Nakriid, thus far, it might be a good idea to wait until someone else posts, unless you want to get inside tip on which planet the RP's first raid is on... :)

Also, as a side-note, Inferi, I thought about this for the past two days, and decided to "reassign" SOAA to the Blackbird, due to the fact that the Ship AI aboard has "died" But, the reason is that I am looking for an even amount of characters aboard each ship, so this means that Annie's character will be aboard the Edgewalker, once we pick her up; so that means that I will reassign Fel** to the Edgewalker. So somehow I completely missed the stuff about biotic and technosis. Hence why I was totally confused when the question was asked in the bio - I thought it meant whether my character was perfectly human or a robot/cyborg. Sorry about that.

Technosis: Within the brain of every soldier is a transmitter chip, and a neural battery, which transfers orders from high command to the brains of every soldier. These are implanted into the brain upon enlisting and going through basic training. While they receive and transmit orders, they also have another reason: Hacking machines and building fortifications, repairing vehicles and fortifications, and disabling enemy fortifications.

On the defensive, a neural battery can be drained of energy to generate force fields, fortify positions against gunfire, and deflect gunfire back at an enemy. On the offensive, a neural battery can be used to hack into machines en mass enemy coms are vulnerable to being hacked. Because of the advent of Technosis as a battlefield discipline, it is no longer strategically safe to have an army of just robots. And this lead to the reintroduction of infantrymen into battlefields across the galaxy. Pirates have an insatiable need for these people, and you will likely find “Technos” on a pirate crew. As Technosis relies on technology, rather than biotic ability, it is far more common.

Technosis is originally an Ikrian discipline, though the Ikrians have a much more advanced version of it.

So my question is whether or not Gary, an ex-military pilot, would have one of these chips?

Also, what about weaponry? Do the pirates use laser or bullet weaponry? What advantages do lasers have over bullets?

Hopefully that AI keeps its grubby little virtual paws off the autopilot.

Gary would have some cybernetics to resist the amount of G's that Light Speed that would kill human crewmembers if they didn't, so as a general rule all human crewmen would have this treatment, the treatment is very inexpensive, it only costs 200 creds to have the operation done. Just because Gary would have this kind of cybernetic sch*uff done to him, does not mean he is a techno (unless you want to make him one). Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

I would like to make him a techno, then. Would it have been implanted by the military or would he have had the operation done after leaving them? Anything that gives me a boost against those filthy AIs and Mechas!

Anyways, I also made an edit asking about weaponry, but I guess you must have missed it. Are handheld laser weapons a commonly used thing? If so, are bullets still relevant? What advantages/disadvantages to lasers have compared to bullets? I need to think about what pistol Gary uses.
