I hope everyone had a great Black Friday. I bought this self-defence staff-thing that folds/closes inwards, got it for 50% off. Although it's not practical in a self-defence situation, it's still a cool toy. Also, being able to carry a five-foot extending staff, in your pocket, is useful in case you need to reach out for something. In a self-defence scenario, I would probably aim for the face and hands only.
Anyways, back to RPing, things still seem to be going slow. It seems that, if a role play gets going, it starts to die at around two to three hundred posts. I feel this is the average threshold. Therefore, a roleplay should end or reach its climax within three hundred posts, and then see if users wish to continue.
For example, I think an RP could be about various adventurers who stumble upon one another, fend off an immediate threat, then continue the main quest of the RP. I was thinking a fantasy RP set around Dracula, of which users are adventurers, assassins, rebels, mercenaries/mercenary captain, or disloyal nobles/warlords against Dracula.
Whatever the individual’s motives may be, from greed to revenge, bloodlust to anger, we all go through the ruined remains of the city and head to the castle. There, we must head to a few locales within Dracula’s castle, such as the interior (lobby, library, armory), the infrastructure (dungeons, caves, sewers), and exterior (gardens/maze, graveyard, rooftops). We will succeed or die trying. The reward in the end is ownership of Transylvania, but there can only be one usurper.
