Just pointing out that if Elyssia is still around, Harry would have asked her to wait outside as well.
Also you could just say that Elyssia was with the group all along but wasn't saying anything because she feels out of her depth, or something.

This too, if you wanted to go about it that way. I don't have an issue here.

Just going to point out that unlike some other brats in the group, Elyssia would probably listen. Though I’m curious why this censorship doesn’t extend to Elizabeth as well; men who censor things for children also tend to throw young women into the same category.

This wouldn't work for me, for several reasons - the primary one being that she simply doesn't have a lot of motive to go. She probably wants to help, but she isn't an expert swordsman, or even a gunman (I think we've well established she's very anxious around guns for whatever reason). Unlike Annie and the rest of the cast, she is no blood knight.

Depends on what you mean by healing items. If you're talking about what they all got earlier, that won't work outside the tavern for various reasons.
If you mean something else, well, is it anything specific?
I'm just refering to your generalised healing potion, staple to any fantasy setting. So, perhaps something similar to, but weaker than your ambrosia potion? I mean, I figure it's something the magical tavern would have that a military outpost wouldn't, it would help in a gunfight, and it would justify Elyssia's trip.
I mean, this is assuming the world doesn't have a weird and wacky way to handle first aid.

Harry doesn't. If she's an adult, that's all that matters.
Another factor is that he simply doesn't trust either Annie's or Elyssia's nerves. As you said Elyssia doesn't want to be caught up in this, and he also thinks Annie is too eager. He's worried that one might freeze up while the other might have an itchy trigger finger. At least Elizabeth had enough sense and initiative to keep her head down without anyone comforting or assisting her.
Though his concern is less with Annie freezing up and more with her having an itchy trigger finger. Elyssia is the one he would think might freeze up.

Well, presumably pirate guy would have a dislocated arm in that scenario - unless there's more magical bullshit that somehow prevents the sudden move from hitting home like that.
But in such a case his enemy would likely be off balance, so he'd press up and slam his shield into his torso/face. Basically keeping his shield between them, so he can bash and deflect without being exposed to hits from that axe - hand possibly sliding further up the halberd's handle as he pressed in, where he could maintain more control over the deadlock.
And I know the shield is fuckoff big, but he's REALLY quick at moving it around - kind of have to be when you're such a big target.
