The longer this thing goes on, I think it might be it. I thought of this the other day, there's B.C and A.D which is mostly arbitrary to a lot of cultures, they all have their own ideas as to when things have changed most. But I think now our current timeline might be divided into B.C again, except this time it's B.C for Before COVID and P.C or Post COVID.
Point being, I'm not sure I look for anything to return to some semblance of what we knew as normalcy. I think the world has changed now and I don't think it's necessarily going to go back to the way things were. Which can be very bad or maybe even slightly positive.
Anyway I don't agree with everything a lot of people have said about this virus, the U.S federal government is a total shitshow in terms of this and the state governments [most, anyhow] appear to be stepping up. Senators were selling off their investments prior to this, in January, so they knew it would get this bad but they didn't feel the need to let anyone else know. And this isn't a red or blue issue, it just comes back to the point that ultimately the federal government has become an entity in and of itself. It's like an organism.
I guess we do live in interesting times. Hopefully you all have been doing well. I have a lot of older relatives so I'm pretty much staying home as I don't want to risk infecting them. People in my town think there are no cases in the county, but most of them think it's 'just a flu' anyway. Those are the people I want to stay away from because those are the people who are going to get other people killed and they probably won't care until it's too late.
