No idea. Personally, I would see no problem leaving it as a lucky find... though I do have trouble believing that bag doesn't have some undesirable quality about it (eg. lined with bags of white powder). Though, if she found it, does that really classify as stealing?

Not that my opinion matters all that much. O_o

West, last page, about Skyrim
I think you're right, there is more to character creation than how much time we spend working on the face/appearance, but I think I spent perhaps half an hour or so. There's just something really fun about character creation, it is, for me, one of the best moments in a game. I still believe Legend of Zelda would be way better if you could customize Link, but that's just me.

But yes, you need to feel something for your character for the game to be, say, more exciting. Ha! Nice reference to Fallout New Vegas there, West. Sounds like the Courier is still on a psychotic spree. I tend to try to do everything in a game, though I tend not to get through everything 100%. The Dark Souls games are a good example, it's quite hard to go through everything in one go.

The Mass Effect games are also really cool in stories and character. I have not yet played ME3, but am playing through the second game, but stopped half a year ago. I will have to go back to playing ME2, I have all DLCs for it, too. To those who may care, my username for Origin is RippedTeeth, but very rarely do I play.

So, Annie just happens to find another bag, empty, lying conveniently nearby? That doesn't happen often, but crazier things have happened.

I find Mass Effect interesting - each sequal assumes Default Shepard did everything in their power to sabotage the war effort through their actions in the previous games - choices that, at the time, could only be justified by saying "I feel like being a jerk today".

I mean, I get Bioware want you to buy the previous games - but why the heck can't default Shepard do anything right? Why the heck does anyone look up to them? By the third game, if you follow Default Shepard's trend, they've probably killed as many as they saved by the end. O_o

Yes, it's uncommon for multiple games to reflect past decisions that continue onto the next game, but it's really cool. I played through Mass Effect 1 and its DLCs as much as I could, even reading the Wiki to seek out and get more quests, which was pretty cool. I did basically everything except the, uh, "good or evil" unlocking missions, as it'd take like five play throughs to reach such levels. I found it funny when Shepherd punches the Arab interviewer lady, that's priceless, but then I felt bad about her.

My Shepherd was a lady with bright blonde hair, green eyes, a broad jawline, a scar under her eye, and large eyes, default female Shepherd but with adjustments here and there, which ended up making her looking like a bitch. I just looked at her and was like, "she even looks like a bitch" which really drew me into the game, and really showed when she swings a wild hook across the interviewer.

Previously, my Shepherd was a guy, not the default, but one of the next few, with adjustments, named Adrian, as I tried to make him look like Adrian Shepherd from Half-Life: Opposing Force. The default female Shepherd reminds me of Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark, who looked quite similar.

As for doing things right, well, I guess they wanted to create a gray area in the game. My character ended up being quite good (thus far).

Oh, and no Annie, you don't have to change anything, I was just commenting.

I find it hard to take anything in the game as morally grey - paragon options, aka the moral high ground, are the correct options more often than not. At least, if you measure the amount of "correctness" by the amount of war assets you have on the board by the third game. To top the cake, even a paragon Shepard isn't above hitting Baterian bastards or executing someone who REALLY deserves it.

I have to admit, my Mass Effect 1 play through was... less than ideal. Shepard was clearly uncomfortable around aliens, threw temper tantrums and pulled rank whenever things got tough (Something I was glad to see return in Mass Effect 3). Mass Effect 2 and 3, I tried to play the paragon redeemer, if not to keep Shepard's complexion clear.

Yes. I found Shepard really was that fickle about their looks - I mean, the first thing Shepard asks the Illusive man in Mass Effect 2 amounted to "Can I still have sex?"
