But honestly, I'd like to see more crotch shots in RPs.

The problem is that crotch-shots and sac-taps, while laughably simple, aren't very... honourable. I always got the implication that this method was preferred only by characters who couldn’t win a fair fight (ie. a woman in a modest setting, or a trickster).

Yeah, I'm calling a massive amount of BS on this. Normally I don't care, but you've been building Annie up to be competent here (something I've been immensely proud of you for) and it looks like you're just trying to sabotage it for no reason, it just feels very disappointing to me.

Earlier in the fight (I think the previous post) from before the thread got put on hold. She clearly has control over what she's doing.

You're right, strikes to the genitals are not honourable, at all, and are frowned upon. But, for humour, they sure work. But, I also wanted to imply a ridiculous kind of martial arts, as the video shows, that seem to override reality. It would be a funny thing to do. Of course, chances are no one's interested in it, but I think a RP about fooling around, godmoding, crotch shots, and being a Master Ken (the guy in red in the vid) just for the hell of it would be a fun way to let off some steam.



Hm, I think Annie's trying to induce storytelling or a more realistic form of combat, but forgets key details. This is why rushing through a post isn't a good idea, it's better to take your time. Personally, when I finish a post, I reread it, then after posting, I reread it again, to be doubly sure the text is consistent.

Mmm, yeah. I think he's dressed and named himself after "Ken" from street fighter. From personal experience, his martial arts tends to give (and take) a lot of unintentional crotch shots.

I guess I have some unresolved and repressed issues with "sac taps" (which were all the rage several years back). After such experiences, I tend to wince every time I see a groin shot.
