Some parts of Skyrim were done surprisingly well - the ending to the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild and Castle Volkihar (the real climax vs the snow elf, not that shoddy fight against Volkihar) had me on the edge of my seat - and the ending of the main quest line, while it lacked action, did have a nice narrative. Which was quite something for a game that otherwise plays by wishing your life away.

On that note, I found it interesting how both Dawnguard and Vampire Dovah'kiin's share a scene in the fight for Auriel's bow - a wall collapses, and both recoil from the sun. I never quite understood why a Dawnguard (human/equivalent) might feel the need to do this. It wasn't like the castle itself wasn't well lit already.

Peculiar, Skyrim sounds funner than I may have thought. When the re-release comes out, I will have to work on it better. For those who are interested, my Skyrim character was a female Redguard, named Casper, who I made to look like a desert Viking, so she had blonde hair, green eyes, tanned skin, an attempt to give her a Persian appearance. Speaking of which, Berbers, Turks, Syrians and Ancient Egyptians sometimes had blonde hair too.

Oh look, a thread was hidden, you don't see that so often. I have a feeling that that hidden thread was not as good as my hate speech though. Speaking of which, I have been examining certain aspects of "this and that" of what I was complaining about long ago, and am totally convinced I can be vastly more offensive, hurtful and brutal in my speech than last time. I will have to put this all to the test when I can, somehow, preferably in real-life. Words are powerful, and can be your first weapon. Connor McGregor is a good example, as his speechcraft worked crazy good.

I dunno, I think there's more to character creation than the hours we spend picking a face - it's the lifestyle and character profile that makes the RPG fun. Sure, you could walk around stealing everything from the ground up, kill anyone you want and complete every quest and have more gold and pockets than you know what to do with... but, personally, I find that's fairly boring. I prefer to go into an rpg with rules - preconceptions about their past histories and choices, especially.

Personally, I keep a raven haired imperial called "Six". She was once a courier for some dingy rural delivery service durring wartime, and happened to take one wrong job too many. Since comming to skyrim, however, she has gone from panicing at the sight of blood to becomming one of the most bloodthirsty imperial criminals in history - all thanks in part to the imperial's flawless penal systems.

To be blatently honest, it's gotten to the point where she can't stop for a bite to eat without someone trying to take her head. O_o

In short, if you play skyrim for the purposes of completion, you're going to be in for a bad time. :P
