oh come now.
you know they would score a critical hit on an opponent if:
- they were allergic to peanuts
- they were vegan, thus eating a cricket would force either a moral alignment change or some other status effect
- they had a fear of insects and knowingly eating one (or learning afterwards what was in it) could have an effect
- they just hate eating crickets
