You'd be right in assuming more frog monsters behind the other doors. It doesn't seem like anyone is fleeing from the rooms, however - the only room that sounds like it has anyone alive is Barda's room. So, you can certainly bust in there and help out, try bursting into another room to take on another frog monster, or return downstairs to join the fight against the Hellhounds.

Fish, perhaps a shortsword, but Gareth's two-hander would be too large to slip through any gaps of the shutters. That said, it doesn't sound like the shutters will last long under that assault.

Rainbow, which wall did the frog-monster crash through? Into the hallway, or into one of the other guest rooms? If it's the latter, another frog-monster will be in there. I am Inferi.

You'd be... Somewhat correct in that assumption, actually. Most monsters are inherently resistant to poisons, since the majority of strong poisons actually come from monsters that produce the substance - not to mention the inherent fortitude of monsters in general requires a much greater dose than what would be effective on a human. I am Inferi.
