I have to admit, I'm kind of interested on how well Earth held out against the Reapers. I mean, London was literally the first city hit by the Reapers - and yet, the place still showed some signs of living with datapads, running power and the like when Shepard turns up months later.

What would it be like, living in a city processed by the Reapers? :P Hope I never have to find that one out.

What would it be like, living in a city processed by the Reapers? :P Hope I never have to find that one out. Not to mention, British phone booths are like ten feet tall and can withstand Reapers! I am willing to bet that, even if Shepard chose the Destroy ending, to literally wipe out all life in the galaxy, those phone booths would still be standing. That's how you truly survive a Reaper invasion.

Hm, now that you talked about such a scenario, surviving a Reaper-invaded Earth sounds like a pretty cool idea for a role-play. I think we all have our hands full already with the RPs right now, but despite low activity, I would be definitely alright with making another role-play. However, it would be a rather stricter role-play than usual, probably only Mass Effect-centric (non-canonical armours or weapons would be assumed to have similar properties to in-game equipment), no magic (only Biotics), some themes on survival and stealth instead of constant fighting, and I think even escaping doomed planets, creating makeshift vehicles and traps, and perhaps taking place over the course of several or a dozen years, would work, too.

Of course, it's best to discuss the idea first, see what users think, see if it's a good idea, etc.

Excellent, that'd be a good idea. Note that, if you intend to work towards publication, you'll need to study professional writing, and it's best to start that as young as possible.

But publishers only publish books that are professionally written! Tho, you can only rely on self-publication, some people use Wattpad to serve as an advertisement medium, then publish their story via Amazon or something, and some have gotten somewhat successful with this method. However, if you wish to publish traditionally, you must be competent in professional writing. Just do whatever you feel is best; writing anything is better than writing nothing at all.

Yes, activity is still kinda low lately, I am getting a brain-itch from not having to do anything!

I think "studying" professional writing is more about building up a support and social network, but what would I know? I never pursued this avenue! On the avenues of studies I did pursue, the content or even the qualification wasn’t what mattered – it was the friends you made in the classroom (both teachers and students alike). Everything else you'll learn on the job.

I don't think I'll be able to post tonight, I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
