Well, to be fair, Gareth has also put forward his own plan, openly pondered several variables with the intention of helping others come up with their own plans, and I believe he even contemplated someone else's suggestion of a disguise and concluded that they could get some use out of it. He has shot down plenty of ideas, but it's not like that has been his only contribution. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Have fun, guys. I will admit I did likewise. I hope I'm not being a dick, but I just don't know what to add to the conversation/themes currently at hand. I was thinking Ben mumble he would just like to get going, maybe Ridley laughing aloud to be a prick, but other than that, I am rather bankrupt of ideas.

However, Annie's suggestion of making traps around the area could be a good idea, as they may catch game animals, though the presence of smoke and fire is sure to drive away almost all animals to begin with. Also, I can mention a child-made trap would probably not be able to subdue an adult, especially a soldier, as soldiers also are trained in survivalism and would be aware of traps in general. Not to mention I don't see a reason for any of the enemy soldiers to actually come to the area, unless they found out the Princess was on-board, maybe, though I have a feeling the Princess is not the main reason for the attack.

Nah. If I really cared about railroading this, I'd do it. It's not like it'd take that much effort to just tell everyone "hey, get going", especially since half of the cast wants to do that anyways.

I'm 100% ok with discussions like this. It showcases part of the characters that can't be shown in nonstop action, and it gives people a chance to contribute. Like I've mentioned, I don't want to just give you a single path if you want to branch out and explore more options. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

It seems clear to me that she is. Their primary goal seems to be just making sure she doesn't show up to that meeting, and that can be accomplished whether she is dead, captured, or stranded in the wilderness. Though captured would certainly be ideal, which might explain why they are sticking around. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
