EDIT: I'm trying to use information I remember from our early character chats, Lasky, though I am a bit concerned if I am godmodding here. If the post is factually incorrect, I'll edit one word of the post and call it a day.
I mean.
I'LL SWAP IT OUT FOR A NEW ONE.

Inb4 Talia was the mole all along, and it's all up to Annie (alone) to stop the Princess from being abducted while everyone is off taking the enemy ship.
Y'know, I'd pay to see that. If done right, it could make an awesome scene.

Either way, something about the boy she knew had changed; he was hesitating.
I'm not sure what this is supposed to imply. Do you mean hesitation in the sense that he's actually expressing an emotion other than annoyance?

to remind him that he was riding on the curtails of his family name.
I would just like to point out that this is the last thing Gareth would ever want to do. In fact he tries to specifically model his life around avoiding doing so. Though Bridgett might not necessarily know that.

You know, I probably should have pointed out that Gareth's bio was partly based on how other people would perceive him, and not entirely on how he actually is.

I'm trying to imply Bridgett initilly saw Gareth as a disapointment who essentially only got by because of his Father without putting any effort into anything himself. I also think the post is a great take that - Gareth has a very wait and see personality, and has only shot down others ideas while never building upon them.
So, Bridgett calling Gareth by his first name means she recognises him for more than a spoiled brat who never puts in effort when it counts.
I think Bridgett is implying the true Gareth was like Annie, only with down to earth reasonable plans.
