There, first post up.

Fys, I'm still thinking of what I want to give you, and while I have the idea that's been in my head for a while now I'm seeing if I can come up with something better. If you don't want to post until you get it, I can understand, I just had the time and wanted to get the starting post done with while I could.

Haha, you're welcome! Glad I could facilitate that, and I'll get back to you on abilities when I decide on one.

If you want to share the thoughts, btw, I'm always open to reading that stuff. I might not be able to say much about it, but I can assure you I'd probably find it interesting.

Also, I have to admit that you made me want to make an NPC named Shepard just for the inevitable "Wreaks." "Shepard." dialogue.

Alright. I'll post the thoughts I wrote. That might give you some inspiration.

I had a lot of fun with my bio, which isn't something I normally say about bio's. The aspect where someone else picks my power gave me real motivation to do well, and I gave it some real thought. I approached the thing with a few different ideas than I have in the past, in both character concept and prose.

I built my character around the fact that I wanted to play a different type of character. I've mostly played sycophantic nice guys, so I decided I would play an emotionally cooler type, and I've never played someone accustomed to hardship and work, so I wanted to try that too. I also knew what kind of role I'd hope to potentially fill in a party dynamic (car guy), and while I think it will largely be useless and maybe even redundant with West's character, I thought it could be useful to have should you decide to take the thread in that sort of route.

Concerning my prose, I approached it from the angle of a scientist writing down notes to his fellow scientists. While I don't think this is obviously apparent, I hope it leans towards the different and interesting, and not the obnoxious.

I'll only let you do that if you promise that the ending will be awful whatever choices we make, but you'll release some DLC shortly afterwards that tries to make up for our collective disappointment, but it has a feel of "too little, too late" to it.

Also, I completely understand. I'll wait until after you've determined my power.

Damn, man, now I'm feeling pressure towards making it feel right. :P

As for this specifically, though: Fysyx said :

You hit the nail on the head with it. That's precisely what I felt like I was reading when I went through it.

Also, here. Since I can't get it out of my head, I'm going with this as your power.

Force. Richard has the ability to create and project physical force in an outward manner. This takes two primary forms, although that is not the limit to which it can be used. 1, the creation and propulsion of invisible energy that makes contact and acts as though a physical object is making contact with the target. 2, the conjuration of a wall of force that stops physical objects from advancing past where it is located.

Does it make enough sense? I don't want to insult you at all with that question, I just don't know if I accurately described what it is.

Surprisingly few combat powers, I noticed.

I take it powers improve over time/usage? Like Piper's chameleon ability upgrading into full invisibility, or whatever else it might be capable of. (not that I can think of anything else)

Oh, question, how many bodies are there in the garden? Like, exactly how many.

13. 6 subjects, 4 guards, 3 medical staff.

And yes, powers will get upgrades over time.

Yeah, there's very few of you that have active combat abilities. I wasn't really thinking about it too much when I assigned them, since I was trying to fit the characters as best I could. You'll have an NPC or two that can help, but overall I'd say you don't want to be directly fighting most obstacles.
