Bridgett: ... You haven't seen me in oh so many pages, and THAT is what you pick on?

They haven't actually seen each other at all yet. At least not during the course of the roleplay.

...would Gareth be able to notice Bridgett fighting Harambe's dad?

I'll admit, I thought the battle of harambe woods was happening within view of most everyone - just sort of on the edge of the clearing, whereas everyone else is far too busy with the wolf monsters to help out.

This was also my assumption, especially since Bridgett was given the option to notice what was going on in the clearing earlier.

Yeah, but it's supposed to be really dark - he can probably notice that there are people fighting the monster, but I don't know if he can actually see who they are. He couldn't even recognize Chloe, who wasn't that far away.

Wait, where does it mention the time of day? I kinda assumed it was still day time.

EDIT: Considering the nature of Bridgett's spear, she should be more noticable in the dark.

Bridgett's spear glows with heat - that's pretty visible.

I was also under the impression it was daytime.

if someone repeatedly does actions that're likely to get them killed, then they should probably not survive.

This. I will almost always give people a way not to die, but if they're specifically doing something that will undoubtedly lead to it, it's happening.

It's only dark when you're in the trees with no light source and it's storming heavily.

So everyone is right, in a sense. It's during the day, probably around midafternoon or so by now, but it's not light out since you're all still in the middle of a storm.

George,
Good points, yes, character death should be meaningful. A lich dying to reunite with one’s family certainly works.

West,
Oh, so that’s what narm means, I had no idea.

NARM. Hey, is this it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiOKNggPh4Q “narm...” *dies*

In ALIENS, aliens die like crazy everywhere; way more aliens die than people, though this is understandable. They often charge directly into gunfire or turrets and die, however, they do learn here and there. In the games, most xenomorphs willingly charge directly into your gunfire, as another example. It seems aliens are only smart when alone, curiously enough.

...And dying from seppuku sounds brutal. What makes it even more brutal, is that it’s historic.

About character death,
When I joined RPs, I often had this mind: how to kill my character off, as I am willing to do that, just need a good moment, yes. Spirry was often meant to be a character who dies, as George may remember from The Moths Wings. Even though Spirry always comes back in another story, he still dies, and an ultimate death to finish him, once and for all, is planned for my own works somewhere in the future.

In Halo: Reach, we're introduced to six super-soldiers. Out of these six soldiers, only two deaths really stuck with me - the death of the player character (obviously), and the death of Noble 2. She didn't die for some grand noble cause - she was just sniped in the back of the head several meters from safety.

Death doesn't need a grand overarching purpose to leave a lasting impact on a group or the viewer. If anything, sudden death has more shock value.

And as for where the fight is, I think I said somewhere that the execution of harambe is only a few hundred feet from where the ship is located, and that the crash tore open enough of the woods that it's all visible. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
