So, we're all hanging out on this airship.
The airship was boarded by two different groups. One appears to be non-violent, not carrying any weapons, while the other is armed to teeth (I think there were seven overall but I'm not sure.)
Anyways, the main cast (Black Ben - Azi's token black character/racial stereotype, Gareth Arenar - my bookish slacker nobleman, and Annie - Annie's Annie) was chilling in the lounge, chatting with novelists and staring out the window, when a member of the more peaceful group (named Chloe) walked in, and approached a fourteen year old girl.
Turns out that fourteen year old girl is the princess of Verania, and the armed group is here to capture her, possibly to start a war. Chloe claims she is trying to get her to safety, and offers a way off the ship, first heading to the Cargo Hold to acquire weapons. Gareth and Annie agree to tag along.
Black Ben eventually decides to come to, but because he waited so long (and loudly announced his intentions), the more violent group heard him and followed him to the protagonists. Chloe froze them using a device on her arm, then decides to grab bailout gear (parachutes) and jump off the ship before they recover.
Some invisible dude then tosses her out the cargo door, presumably to her death. Annie, armed with only a knife, attacks the invisible dude, while Black Ben continues searching through luggage like nothing was happening. Gareth, believing that staying in the cargo hold was a doomed effort due to the actions of his allies, strapped on the bailout gear, grabbed the princess, and leapt out of the cargo hold.
Meanwhile, Bridgett (Westenev's character, a childhood acquaintance of Gareth and wannabe soldier) fought/stealthed her way to the bridge and is now questioning the Captain to learn more about the situation. She's about to be sent down to the cargo hold as well, I think.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
