Really? All of the Grimgar B-team gave me the impression that they were either loners, misunderstood or felt out of place in the real world. They certainly weren't wallflowers - or does your definition of basement dweller only extend to those who are bespeckled, have a lisp and have a horrid pimple problem?

There are various kinds of basement dweller, but for this roleplay I'm leaning towards some pretty hopeless fuckers. It's why they were chosen.

Not sure if I'm gonna be in or not, tbh. I don't know if that's something I really want to go with.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

... can you give me a small example? I mean, hopeless people don't make great characters without a positive influence to even them out (whether as an antagonist or ally).

EDIT: To be fair, the B-team had pretty crap charisma (besides their leader, who was implied to have been invited to the A-team but refused). They were constantly bickering and getting on eachother's neck, and the first episode should show this in their teamwork (which barely gets better in the latter episodes).

Think... Shut-ins who don't work, don't have any friends or people who care for them, who are effectively stuck in that they don't want to put in the effort of doing something with their life - or are unable to, because of some mental block or issue. Like severe social anxiety, agoraphobia, or just sheer lack of motivation in a world they don't like.

Or they could just be completely unaware how any kind of social norms work, so they've kind of cut themselves off - or they're living with their parents and not really doing anything and don't look like they will ever.

EDIT: I'm not saying they're hopeless entirely. They don't have to be depressed or something, they can be deeply positive but have no idea how social norms work and say the most awkward dumb shit. Or just not say anything because they clam up. They're effectively being forced into this world because they're not goign to amount to anything, so instead of having the comfort of their room and computer they're now in a life or death situation where they HAVE to do something and won't be protected by society and government.

I mean, to be honest the main focus isn't on just how fucked up their shut-in life is, but more like these are really awkward memelords who have no idea what they're doing and the shenaigans that follow - complete with life or death fights. I am Inferi.

Also, Ranger addded.

Ranger - The pew pew patrol. Expert marksman and arrow slinging extradinaire! Capable in close range as well, at least more so than a squishy caster, but distance is the best friend of the ranger to make the most use of their uncanny perceptive abilities. These weirdos have some vague connection with nature too, hell if I know why, but animals like 'em.

Well, you can be a cleric that doesn't worship a god. You won't know about any of the religions in the first place, so you wouldn't know which gods you could worship anyway.

I don't know if I'd say they're an atheist though.
