If ethics block your foresight and become your downfall, you have only yourself to blame. Only the wise can think ahead, after all. And so it is, that, sometimes, doing the ethical thing isn't the right thing, and doing the demonic thing can be the right thing. Survival is the responsibility of the individual.

...and I am a complete hypocrite for saying that, because sometimes, I can't sleep at night because I feel so bad for all the suffering and terror there is in some parts of the world. The good things, even when they are few and far between, are what makes everything so worth it, especially if you can be involved.

Survival is a thing that happens, or it doesn't... Though throwing nuclear bombs like footballs or haphazardly introducing bioweapons tends to learn towards the "doesn't" category.

A good WMD (or plot element) is meant to be feared and admired, not used.

Don't worry Annie, I can help you all the time with your posts. I will attempt to at least merge Bob and Annie, so that they can help each other, then move into the finale of the Collector subplot with NotFishing's Lok'Thadamee.

In other topics, I was lately thinking about the new technology that allows doctors to ''edit'' the human genome directly of an individual baby. Taking this a step further, I think you could even do so while the baby is pre-foetal, or indeed, while grown in a test tube. I'm starting to think that a real-life Clone Wars may happen in the next century!

Another thought, ever since Hitler attempted to create a master race, what would happen if we did indeed create a superhuman race? If they were inherently superior to us in everything, they would eventually replace us. They would view us as inferior, stupider, slower, weaker, and obsolete, so they would eventually start thinking something like, "we don't need them, and we're probably better off without them'' while idealizing their own utopia.

Have you ever watched Gattaca? My chemistry teacher in sophomore year showed it to us, it's a great movie starring Jude Law, Ethan Hawke, and Uma Thurman about the concept of naturally born people becoming second-class citizens to genetically engineered people.
Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.

West,
But being able to survive nuclear and biological warfare to begin with, works. But yes, throwing warheads like footballs wouldn't be good, as it'd potentially destroy all life on earth. Then, we'd have to wait another few billions years for more life to re-evolve.

Yes; I think that'd be the notion of respect. The Bible depicts a deity who is immensely destructive, yet also capable of immense creation, where all good and evil are his domain at will. Is this worthy of respect? Fear is, after all, a forced respect.

Venom,
No, I have never seen that movie. I don't watch movies, or read books, or watch TV much. I seem to be isolated in my art, rather old computer games, and just taking things slowly. But yes, that is a peculiar film indeed, however, I suspect that genetically-engineered fetuses would be the ones becoming second-class citizens, as the created serve the creators. However, as West pointed out, humans have ethics, though it is natural for the superior to want to rule the inferior, after all. You'd have to make these ''clones'' absolutely loyal, obedient, age too fast to rebel effectively, or insert some sort of chip that fluctuates radio waves in their brains to control them.

Hello.

Anyways, this is genuinely one of the creepiest music videos I have ever seen:

(you can still copy-paste over the smiley, it'll still work)

In other topics I may add, well, I've been playing Bioshock Infinite past week or so, here and there. It was an interesting game, definitely had a better story and character backstories, but the world was not as interesting as the previous two games (in my opinion). The idea of parallel dimensions/time traveling was cool to think about. It seems that, sometimes, you just gotta let go, less become your own worst enemy, having a Freudian and Nietzsche-esque theme. I just beat the first DLC recently, will be going through the second one probably today. It really struck me when Liz just cranks up the heat of the thermostat, that actually hurt me! Whenever I hear small children scream in pain, my heart just aches.

Not really. If society decides your fate, who are you to argue?

Personally, I found the Gattaca boring... trash for highschools to disect in english class. I did enjoy an anime with a similar concept called Psycho pass, where the lives and mental state of the populus is monitored and maintained by a big brother AI. Anyone who can not be scanned is arrested, has their brain confiscated and joins the collective super computer running the AI.

I'd argue against society. I always did, always will, why not? I tend to be anti-conformist and stubborn, and just as Bioshock's Atlas alluded to, stubbornness is like free will.

Oh, so Gattaca is one of those kinds of movies. I think schooling/schools should modernize, and use video games to teach people things. Like, the BioShock franchise is excellent, a true work of art, and I was impressed by the last DLC. Going back to Rapture, and revisiting a few old friends, was a good surprise for me, it was great to go through. Now, I am tempted to reinstall the previous two Bioshock games just to play them again, and see if there's anything more I can learn. After all, when a franchise gives you a reason to replay, that's when you know you love the game. BioShock, Mass Effect, and Dead Space began in the late 2000s, curiously enough. Man, pre-2010s was like a golden age of gaming, it was as good as the era of Nintendo 64 (in my opinion). And yes, I still have a Nintendo 64, and I still play it, ha!

...and I am a bit saddened that my musical RP didn't work out. I was excited for it, but even if it doesn't work, OK, np, maybe next time. Or, if not, well, I am hoping George comes back soon.

The only other kind of RP I can think of upon reflection after my loss of ideas, is to actually stop thinking, stop trying to create, stop brainstorming, and just take steps back into simplicity. I think a dragon RP could work, where everyone's just a dragon, the RP starting when the dragon's are hatchlings, we grow up with them while befriending one another, and embark on an adventure together as them. Or, maybe it's best to just sit back and wait for a while.
