You don't need some special reason, you know. It's the newest one, but it's just a passenger ship. It's the same idea as an airplane today. Normal people get on them all the time.

Target: If the pay's good, yeah
If that's fine, then how does this sound to you:
Target: Self-titled as "Prismatic Storm". No name available. Female, appears early to mid 20s. Typically seen with mid-length brown hair. Scarring of the face: [highly distinctive scar]. No images are on file, classified as extremely dangerous, and it is warned that any attempt to apprehend them comes with serious risk to one's life.
The Guild is the one that posted it, but Chancellor of Verania wants them apprehended as well, and his reward is a lot.
[Leads: Artifacts of Power; Interview with the paper, Author; Blade Dancer, Gareth Arenar]
Both Gareth Arenar's son and the author are on the ship.
I would figure that he would also have not been going after them too long, although finding out information about someone that there's almost nothing about probably takes a bit of time.
So is this too grandiose and vague for you?
...please don't ask me to name guns.
Ooo. Edgy.
Wait, is that bring them in Alive, or Dead? Cooke's better at Dead, but if the money's
good...
Wow. Sounds like some serious firepower. Sounds like Cooke might need a crew of *looks at cast list* 3 or 4 other people to take this person in! That, and some level ups.
Cooke is probably going to go seek out the Author first. Does s/he and their newspaper/journal have a name, so Cooke can look for them?
No, it's actually neat! Just be aware that this sounds less like sub-plot level detail and more like a secondary plot at this stage. That's entirely cool by me too.
Completely understandable. How about the Perkings Model 4 / Kingslayer. If you want to pull the monologue on me, I was thinking it gets its nickname because the gun was used to kill its inventor. That seems sufficiently edgy, no?
Other nicknames I came up with were Willbreaker, Dreamhunter, and Oathkeeper, if you like those better.

All of this talk of pre-story character development makes me worry I'm not developing Bridgett enough.

Thanks, you`d never be able to bribe your way to a pass in Canada, or at least I'd suspect not. But ya, it's nice I passed, the instructor was much less strict than the previous one I had years ago.
You normally wouldn't see this in New Zealand either, but it just goes to show what can happen when a lazy supervisor finds some dubious employees!

How about having the government or a very powerful secret group being involved in the experiments? I had the idea that this would have gone on in early days from the release of crystallis tech, but the tech was still being developed and experimented with heavily.
Ok, what exactly are you trying to get in, here? Are you trying to write out a whole separate subplot or something?
I admit I have a tendency to do that quite a bit. But I'll have a proper look into the thread before I make any decisions.

'Urr' is an antagonist from Into The Void. That's where she copy/pasted her bio from.
I was afraid of that. I just wanted to give the benefit of the doubt (and also I was too lazy and didn't care enough to actually look).

I was also thinking for my character be a run away test subject for your thread inferi.
What were they testing?
^This. Also who was testing, and why were they testing it?

Quotes taking up posting space really makes it hard to respond to them when you're using the full quote.
While alive is preferable (as with everything with the Guild, since they are big on following laws), it's also noted by the Chancellor's request that it is unsure whether that would even be possible. It's really up to the discretion of whoever manages to get to that point. Although it doesn't say, one could surmise that the Chancellor - who is the one that would be giving most of the reward - just wants this person gone.
The author's name is Talia Silvandros, and, funnily enough, she actually writes fiction at this point. If Cooke looked into that at all because it seemed weird for someone like that to get such a interview, it seems that it was because of the interview that she started writing it in the first place. It wouldn't be hard to find a picture of her either if he wanted to.
To be honest, it's less of a secondary plot and more of a tie-in with the main plot.
All of those names sound good to me, as well as the history.

In addition to already being the daughter of a prominent politican?
Just out of curiosity, why was her father so respected? What type of politican was he? What were his policies? What was his skillset? Who respected him - the lower class? The middle class? The upper class?
