Inferi, how would you describe the clothing style in your thread?

West is pretty much correct. Not quite as much steampunkish, but the dates for that are about what I would have said.

I'm also not strictly going with anything due to the fact that I'll probably violate the dress code at some point.

So uhh, for your thread West is everyone's chance to succeed or fail at every skill the same? So the big strong dude is equally as likely to fuck up a contest of strength than the small weak girl?

That's the plan!

I thought about adding bonus modifiers, skills, or Hp, but I need to see if the base concept works before I begin experimenting with these sorts of mechanics. If this works out, maybe someone could adapt a more complicated game later down the line.

For now, just consider it the fun perk of being involved in a throw thread! :P

Inferi, can you go into more detail on Nalis's military/social hierarchy? How influential is their nobility? Is the military's upper chain of command dominated entirely by nobles? I'm thinking my character is going to be of noble birth. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Nalis is an "anyone doing anything" type of place. As in, social structure isn't strict, anyone can rise to a position of power, etc. There's not a huge noble class; it's been slowly dissolving over the past century or so, but enough still exists that you can have someone from there and it would make sense.

Military command is essentially done by skill, not birth. You could have someone bad in a position, but they wouldn't have gotten there because of an influential family or something like that.

That help?

There's no space ship, Annie. It's an airship, travelling at the same height as clouds.

But yes, all characters do start on it.
