NotFishing,
Oh my, you're 6'6"? Quite tall indeed. I'm 6'4" barefoot, I think.

To answer your question: In Prince George, people are taller on average than in Quesnel. Most people are a bit shorter than me, but I see people a bit taller than me every week.

Speaking of which, one time, while leaving Walmart, I saw this girl who facially looked stereotypically nerdy. But she was as tall as me! Even though she wasn't very pretty facially, she had incredibly long legs. I don't know why, but whenever I see a girl who is very tall, wears glasses, has long hair, and very long legs, I basically fall in love, even if she isn't pretty and is basically a stick without any curves.

About characters,
Hm, I don’t know anything about Dragon Age, but I can add something about characters. Characters don’t have to be unique, creative, colourful, or masterfully developed to be great. Being unique doesn’t make something awesome, being awesome makes something awesome.

For example, Apollyon from For Honor is one of my favourite video game characters, ever. Her voice actor isn’t remarkably excellent, her character isn’t anything new, her personality is rather stereotypical for a villain, and there isn’t really much that makes her deep. But, for me, she is awesome.

Not to mention she got her armour when she was just sixteen, and she is of the tallest characters in the entire game! How often do you find sixteen-year-olds of which adult men don’t even stand up to her shoulders? Her armour once belonged to the man who abandoned her village to be destroyed by Viking raiders, and when she found him, dragged him to the middle of town and killed him. Pretty damn impressive for a sixteen-year-old. I think she’s meant to be an evil version of Joan of Arc. Also, since Apollyon is extremely tall, and is a girl in armour, I basically fall in love.

Annie,
I was at work. As a reminder, I work full time at a small lumber mill. I work afternoon shift: 3 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

I once saw a tall woman at Walmart, too, Azi. Only difference is I'm fairly certain she wasn't always a she. My co-workers and I gathered around the table deliberating and debating whether she was. That isn't too common around here. The world may never know for sure. Of course I worked in the backroom with a bunch of blue-collar dip-spitting rednecks so none of us are all that well-versed on gender relations.

You mean people work and go to school and have obligations? Well, huh. I always thought everybody here was just like, a shut-in staring at their computer screen and refreshing the page, or maybe everybody here was like, vat people preserved solely to entertain impatient children. Well, there's an idea for a weird thread I guess.

Pff, I wish I was a shut-in. That would be so much more enjoyable than essentially being one but having to work anyways.

Being a vat person might even be better.

Very true, I resent being dragged out of my cave so to speak to deal with human necessities. Work, cleaning, chores, interacting with other human beings, they've always been kind of herculean to me. I've always liked solitude and I'm really not a people person.

I'd be pretty content if I just had a cave somewhere with a computer, high speed internet, a few creature comforts, food, water and maybe a cat. I could live there indefinitely, really. Meditate, go fishing, read books, listen to music, hike and what-not. I'd be perfectly happy with that.

But no, society dictates that you have to work, have a driver's license, cultivate human relationships, pay bills, all of that bullshit. I sometimes wonder why as humans, we've gone entirely against our own instincts and our own comfort in order to create society the way it is. If it doesn't give back more than it takes away, is it really a worthwhile endeavor? It constantly takes away time, energy and sanity, which are all pretty valuable to me. There must be a better way.

But that's just my inner cult-leader/commune hippy talking, I guess. I like money and stuff.

It's because someone with money decided that they needed to make more money, and the only way to do that was to make everyone that didn't have money do the work for them. That in turn made them make laws that everyone had to work for them, and because they had the money everyone did what they wanted. Then it just spiraled out of control and ended up where it is, and there's no way we can reverse it at this point because there's too many people that won't accept a change even before those with power decide to refuse it.
