Wha-why would there be a brothel within view of the market?

The market is like one of the first place a visitor is going to go. "Welcome to our illustrious city. Here is our bustling market. Watch as children run and play around our fountain, which is only thirty or so meters away from the local whorehouse. Oh look, there's Lord Henry about to cheat on his wife, in clear view of the entire city - man, this brothel is rather inconveniently placed for him, is it not?"

If it existed before and after, wouldn't it make sense for the concept to exist durring that period?

Middle Axes, sounds awesome!

Anyways, knights sometimes dressed up as women, then fought in tournaments like that, as a joke. They also sometimes dressed-up as cardinals, Greeks, or Romans, perhaps a form of medieval cosplay. Other than that, I am not aware of any transgender features from the Middle Ages. Since basically everyone had to work in the field, most days most of the time, or work in their trade, or go to war, there really wasn't much time for leisure. Even monarchs lived busy lives. In fact, the average person of the modern world has an easier life than almost all historic monarchs.

Azi... why do you hate Asari?

I don't know anything about them, but... why?

Well, that really isn't transgenderism. At most, it's crossdressing. It's only transgenderism if they themselves genuinely believe they are another gender.

Depends on how seriously the monarch took their duties.
